Yesterday I revealed the first F1 hybrid #strawberry of Limgroup at the Delphy ISFC in Den Bosch (NL). We believe, this breakthrough will realise a transformation in the strawberry industry: * More advanced innovations will come from breeders; * Propagators will make a giant loop forward in producing sustainable young plant; * Growers will get access to uniform healthy, outperforming plants at every moment; * And retails and consumers will benefit from healthy, sustainably produced strawberries. With our first introduction we take the first steps to above written developments. We will continue to work hard to make sure above promises will be materialized. As mentioned during my speech, we will not be able to do this all by ourselves. Industry leaders throughout the chain will accelerate this process. The first ones are on board: Gipmans Young Plants, Van den Elzen Plants, Van der Avoird Trayplant BV, FruitMasters and Delphy ISFC. All prioneers of F1 hybrid strawberries! And we are open to speed up this transition with other industry leaders in the sector. Looking forward to a sustainable strawberry industry with great strawberries!

Loosing good berries because of physical damages is always a shame🤕 This berry was in perfect shape before it got "rubbed" against a part of the system and got damaged! We usually place a ribbon supposed to support the fruit stem (the truss) to carry the heavy strawberries growing on it... 🪂 ⛓️This ribbon was misplaced and harmed this berry when I was operating in the system. Lessons learned thanks to this at Vertiberry by Urban Harvest: ⚙️ the system got improved to optimize the location of the truss-support system 💡 we learned the importance of the length of the trusses, not only for harvest but also for fruit quality 📜 the operations practices got adjusted to the risks ➡️By testing, we continuously improve our systems! #agtech #foodwastereduction #foodtech
