2️⃣0️⃣🎂 In December 2003 I left a position of Rubber R&D Lab Manager and started a new chapter on the « dark side of the force » , the sales world and joined Safic-Alcan rubber sales team. And so what ? 🤩 20 years already ? Looked like only 5 years have passed ! I’m ready for the next 20 ! 😱 Gosh, how possibly was I so lazy I did not change 2 or 3 times of company to learn more, get new challenges ? Earn more money :-)? 👴20 years only ? Looked like it lasted 40 years ! I’m so tired 🥳the 20 best years of my life. 🤔how come they did not fire me yet ? These are example quotes , many others are still missing, but what shall I choose :-) ? Easy 😎 ? 🤷Back then, I didn’t have a clue if I could fit in this new sales world… and if I could get along well with the Safic-Alcan Spirit.. well looks like we both enjoyed ! What made and still makes my journey in Safic-Alcan so unique ? Inspiring bosses who gave me opportunity to grow and learn everyday. First of all martial lecat and Philippe COMBETTE who drove Safic-Alcan on this unique and fantastic road to success by involving every employee on a rarely seen scale,and by trusting more than any one else on the power of internal promotion. My direct managers during all these years, that guided me where I am today, especially Philippe Cenreaud (special thanks for your trust all these years) Juliette Gamez (the best supportive boss we could dream of ). And to Yann Lissillour, still remember our trips back in 2004 when we visited all the Hutchinson plants for my hand over in your Citroen Picasso. Time flies ! Unique journey because I’m so grateful I could add many other industries and markets under my umbrella and learned so much. From #rubber to #Coatings, #paints, adhesives, #plastics, bitumen, home care, fuel and lubes, synthesis and even animal nutrition among others, who can imagine the limits of all the raw materials and innovation we can bring to these markets, as they faced so many (r)evolutions. And the last and biggest one is here, the #sustainability shift. These are the challenges and motivation I did not need to go and seek elsewhere. But of course, all of this would not be possible without the fantastic team that I am working with everyday : huge #kudos to you my fantastic Performance Products #team in France. We are building the best Specialty #Chemicals technical sales team in every industrial market we’re in, and this is thanks to your never ending commitment to deliver your best. Our customers and faithful principals can surely testify. 💪💪👏Working with you makes me looking forward to the next 20 years in Safic -alcan ! And as one of you regularly claims (she will easily recognise herself) : « happy boss, Happy team ». This time i would like to add « happy team, happy boss ». See you in 20 years (keep it as a secret, I hope I will be a happy retired man in 20 years if the French laws do not add too many years to the pension system until then !) #teamwork

This past week I had the amazing opportunity to meet with many corporate partners in the sales industry. All students presented an elevator pitch to each visitor individually. This experience allowed me to connect with many new members in the Tampa Bay region, setting me up for future success. Thank you to my professor who helped set this up and allowed us to share our passions.
