When the Dings Community Centre in Bristol reached out for help to replace their lighting, our Gas Lane team who are developing the 260 bed PBSA scheme around the corner, stepped up. Collaborating with Kempowell Electrical Services Ltd, we replaced outdated lights with energy-efficient LEDs, improved safety with new fire escape lighting, and reduced running costs for the centre—helping them reinvest in vital community services. For James Howells, our Trainee Site Manager at Gas Lane, this project was personal. Growing up nearby, he knew just how important the centre is to the community. Now, we’re looking at further improvements, from electrical testing to a fresh repaint. This isn’t just about buildings—it’s about Watkin Jones and our teams being a good neighbour. Through small actions, we’re bringing our ESG strategy to life and making a difference to the communities in which we build. #WatkinJonesGroup #Kempowell #LocalCommunity #ESG #CommunityImpact #SocialValue #FutureFoundations #PBSA #BTR #CoLiving #UKConstruction #UKPropertyDeveloper #Creatingthefutureofliving Read more about our Gas Lane development here: https://lnkd.in/eABNHFP7 cc: Tony Pendrigh, Sean Pollard, James Howells, Sean Curran, Nick Bumby, Gary Denham, Ben Wrighton.
