When your process is known to fail - ProMinent has your back!   We were approached by an industry supplier to help them design a standby solution for a UK car manufacturer's screen wash filling system after it failed. Rob Winning, who looks after water treatment customers in the North of England, said: "Coming up with the idea of mounting a DFYa pump to a 500-litre storage tank outside the assembly line, allowed us to make the most of the peristaltic pump's batch mode. "If the duty system failed again, the DFYa would reliably dose three litres of screen wash in 30 seconds after an assembly worker placed the injection valve into the car's filling point and then pressed a button to initiate the batch. It could then be removed and either placed into the next car or back onto the wall. "A simple and effective solution to their issues." Want to learn more about the DFYa? How long do filter press plates last? This is a question I get when people want to compare maintenance on them to decanters. We have an installation in Thailand that has been running for over 5 years with no filter plate replacement. I expect the life to be 8-10 years. We have also been selling replacement filter plates for other brands of presses that we do not sell. They will utilize the best materials available today and will likely outlast the OEM filter plates.

Using genuine parts is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of your pumps.

MANN-FILTER - the seal of quality! With many vehicle assemblers now sharing engine platforms, it is often the case that although the actual filter is identical across multiple applications, the filter housing may differ from vehicle brand to brand - and hence the gasket or seal utilised per housing will also be specific - be this size, shape or even the material used. Unlike some lower quality brands, #MANNFILTER ensures the exact seal or gasket is included per part number, per specific vehicle. This ensures no errors when installing the filter (i.e. no 'mixed bag' of multiple seals, all very similar to the mechanic, yet critical to get right to avoid leaks and subsequent engine issues - even failure). These specific seals and gasket sets are easily identified using the MANN-FILTER numbering system (specifically the suffix) when identifying seal/gasket kit differences. For example, the oil filter HU 718/1 series: - HU 718/1 k, HU 718/1 n, HU 718/1 y, HU 718/1 z Same filter, different seal kits for different applications (k, n, y, z) = but individual part numbers for a precise fit every time, with no concerns over the wrong seal being installed. With the correct seal or gasket material also being paramount to effective function and longevity (be this nitrile, silicon or similar) but always to #OEspecification there are #noworries that inferior or incorrect parts are being used with MANN-FILTER. A 'seal of approval' then for fitting MANN-FILTER in OE Specification! 😉 MANN-FILTER. Perfect Parts. Perfect Service.
