🎙️ Episode 35: Performance toxicity… What is this and why do we need to talk about it?🎙️ This is an important subject matter and one that was difficult to record but we feel that this is a message that needs to be out there and delivered in a clear and balanced way. In this podcast, we reference both an Age Group athlete who has recently been banned for doping and the individuals coach, who took the action with UKAD. We are in no way implying the environment that the coach created led to the decisions the athlete made. The message we are sharing in this podcast is how the performance narrative in triathlon and wider society, is resulting in toxic performance behaviours which is damaging the journeys and experiences that athletes could be having with the opportunity triathlon provides to truly enhance your life. We want to continue to make this podcast even better for you, so please share this podcast and subscribe to both the podcast and YouTube channel. This helps us to be able to continue to create more content for you… as always, let us know if you have any topics or areas you would like us to cover! https://lnkd.in/eV-ZaeSi So go on, give it a: 👉 Like 👉 Subscribe 👉 Share #passionfit #passionfitcoaching #passionfitpodcast #triteam #tricoach #swimbikerun #personalaccomplishment #selfdevelopment

TODAY, on Hahnacity the Podcast: "Episode 6: Farewell, Group 1" After 7 total years of (the last 4 years of which were in a completely immersive world of intensive elite level) gymnastics, Laura is forced to retire from her beloved sport at a mere 12-years-old due to chronic injuries. Yes. You read that correctly: RETIRED. AT. 12-YEARS-OLD. DUE TO CHRONIC INJURIES. Injuries that endure today...at 46 years old. Clearly, something is not right with a sport culture if CHILDREN are forced to retire because of injuries through overtraining and fear-based coaching. This type of coaching and training must stop. We must do better for all athletes. #hahnacity #gymnastalliance #farewell #group1e

In the latest episode of The Hero Show, the conversation turned to a fundamental principle that can transform any area of life—consistency. It's the second commandment of the '10 Commandments of Podcasting': Thou shalt be consistent. Whether it's sticking to a weekly podcast schedule or attending regular Taekwondo workouts, showing up consistently can dramatically change your business, your body, and your life. The truth is, consistency might just be the world's most underrated superpower. By simply showing up every day, improvement happens organically, setting you miles ahead of those who don't have the discipline to be regular. It's not always about trying to get better; the act of being present is a catalyst for growth in itself. For anyone looking to make a real impact, remember that consistency is key. It's a lesson that applies universally, from martial arts to podcasting, and it's one that can lead to remarkable results over time. To hear more about how consistency can shape your journey, tune in to the full episode of The Hero Show.
