Interestingly, during his discovery, I realised that for me as a buyer, the coworking space that lets you check out online and provides out-of-hour access becomes the place of choice to make sure 9 am meetings are attended and not disrupted by getting into the building. Of all the coworking views from We Work Central Sydney to Commons Collingwood, the Greenhouse in Jervis Bay may be the best view yet, with the added bonus of lunch swims. #Cleveland had the lowest sales 📉 of any #Xerox 🖨️ office in the USofA before this man turned it around to make it the highest throughput office globally. 🌍 Frank Pacetta was a determined professional who got the basics right. By just physically forcing facetime, he performed a miracle. ✨ This man literally compelled the entire #salesforce out of the office and locked up their desks and chairs🪑. His thesis was simple - Clients are not in the office. So you shouldn't be either 🌇 On his first day, when he called the meeting, it was early in the morning . naturally - the staff arrived late, on the next day the came back to an empty office. 🫨 Everyone was stunned to see the furniture gone 💨. Turns out Frank had a moving company shift the furniture to storage, under 🔒lock and key🗝️. He would only allow the furniture to be used like books from a library📚, issued when a client came to the office and repossessed when they left. This meant that they couldn't while away any more and the freeloaders ended up quitting, naturally trimming the fat. This is easily one of the most amusing stories from real life I have come across recently. Although dated ( from the 1970s ) still is very relevant. My insights - (i)Radical simplicity works. (ii)The act of doing is key.
