Happy first of October, and the final quarter of season 2024. I have heard it said already, "That can wait until next year". This blew my mind, as there is still so much to accomplish and get done this year to make sure we rocket into 2025. I speak a lot about sports, and sports sum it up perfectly in this instance. Games aren't won in the first quarter, half, or even into the final quarter. They are won when the final hooter and play is finalized. When others take their foot off the gas, that is the perfect time for you to attack with full force. This will widen the gap and enable you to start the 2025 season with an advantage. A great way to finish off strong or start the 2025 year with an advantage is to get in contact about my 5 Steps To Improved Vitality talk, which will help you increase innovation, morale, productivity and therefore profitability within your workplace, or Kurt's B.R.B. talk. What would be even better, is if you are in Perth on Friday 11th of October, come along and witness these talks yourself. It will be help at the QV1 Building 250 St Georges Terrace. The link will be in the comments. Be sure to book your spot, as we don't you to miss out #perth #qv1 #motivation #speaker #eventmanagers #personaldevelopment #businessdevelopment #corporatewellness

When are gymgoers signing up to memberships?🤔 To find out we looked at when memberships started for over 929k first time members on Direct Debit agreements (starting between Jan 2013 & Mar 2024). And honestly, there really are no big surprises😅 11.5% of agreements started in January. The only month that competes is September when 10.0% started. December is the quietest month with 5.3% starting.* Monday is the most popular day to start – 21.7% of agreements started on a Monday. As the week goes on, fewer new membership agreements start. Saturday and Sunday are quietest with 8% starting each day. Does this look the same for your business? Understanding when members buy and begin memberships can help you effectively manage your sales and marketing approach📈 *We excluded 2020, 2021, and Jan-Mar 2024 when reviewing months to avoid the impact of closures/restrictions and the partial year. #XplorGym #WeAreXplor #GymManagement #FitnessIndustry #GymOwner #GymSales #GymMembershipSalesReport

Snowposium 2024: Bigger and Better Than Ever Landscape Ontario’s Snowposium — Canada’s largest trade show just for snow and ice professionals — is happening on July 31, 2024, at the International Centre, Mississauga, Ontario. After listening to feedback from long-time exhibitors, sponsors and attendees, Landscape Ontario has made some exciting changes to make Snowposium bigger, better and more relevant than ever in its 17th year. New date We’ve moved the date from September to July to give business owners and employees the opportunity to get training, learn about the latest innovations, boost business skills and make big purchasing decisions on equipment — well before the season begins. This is great news for exhibitors, sponsors and attendees alike. New location This year’s event will be at the International Centre, located in Mississauga, Ont. With over 40,000 square feet of exhibitor space, this is an event not to be missed. The new location is near Pearson International Airport, making travel to and from the show easy for those arriving from out of town or the U.S. New opportunities In addition to making room for more exhibitors, we are offering all-day LIVE Stage education right on the show floor — meaning attendees will have even more opportunities to interact with exhibitors as they learn. Some highlights include snow and ice liability, winter wages and modified pay and redefining ‘blue collar’ work for attraction and retention. Whether you are a snow and ice contractor, municipal manager, property manager, or a supplier to the industry, this is an event not to be missed!

Founder @CourtReserve. Helping tennis/pickleball professionals grow their clubs/programs through innovative technology.
Let me say this again… One event won’t save you during a sluggish period of tennis or pickleball club growth. Yes, your courts are your biggest asset, and you’ll want to make as much use of them as possible. More usage = more additional revenue you can capture. But, one event isn’t going to solve ALL your growth challenges. You really have to look at your data, and get forensic. Here’s how I would do it: 1. Start by reviewing your existing usage in your court reservation software. When are your busy times? When do courts sit empty? (See example of a report from CourtReserve below) 2. When you know your actual peak and off peak times, you can implement peak and off peak pricing. Peak and off peak pricing strategies maximize utilization and impact revenue. If your courts are busy, members (and guests) pay a premium to access them during >high< demand. Now, when your club is QUIET? Discounts or lower pricing can incentivize play during slower periods. Driving revenue all boils down to pricing your court times for maximum profit. Economics 101 🤓 3. Next, try seasonal discounts and events During quieter, out-of-season times, you can lower your costs to attract more players to your facilities when they might not normally consider it. You could also run special offers, like discounts for block bookings, to encourage repeat visits. You might even want to host training sessions or instructor-led clinics during these periods to attract a new group of players. Just one social event could be all your club needs to introduce a new audience to pickleball and increase your court usage. So, not a fix-all, but you might attract a new audience which you can then market to in the future. 4. Honestly, just try longer opening hours 😅 Not for every club I know, but let’s say you are a cashless facility? Test extending those opening times, even convert to a 24-hour facility. I would definitely recommend a wifi remote lock access control. This allows players to make/pay for reservations online and then enter your facility with a unique PIN code that unlocks the doors. With some simple security additions, you can extend playing hours (without increasing staffing costs) and boost your revenue. — This is how I would generally do it. Need help thinking through some of this? Just reach out.

💪 Did you know that resilience is a skill that can be developed by anyone? I had a BLAST teaching people how to use their past experiences of overcoming adversity to make them stronger at FitFest, Florida's largest Fitness Expo, this past weekend! I led people through a simple resilience exercise based on past research, including my dissertation research. 🔽 Here is the super-simplified version you can practice in your journal (if you have been wanting to pick up journaling but don't know what to journal about, here is your first prompt! 😉)🔽 1️⃣ Journal about an experience of adversity you have already overcome. 2️⃣ What was the challenge? 3️⃣ How and when did you know you have overcome it? 4️⃣ What perspectives did you gain from this experience? 5️⃣ What skills did this experience teach you? Whenever you've had a tough day, pick that journal back up to remind yourself of what you are capable of 💪 _______________________ I am founding Nourish not only as a platform for nutritional nourishment, but also as a platform for psychological nourishment, as I TRULY believe one without the other is useless. Remember, if you have not done so already: 1️⃣ Sign up for our waitlist (we'll plant a tree in your honor) 🌲 : https://lnkd.in/eNXfThNk 2️⃣ Follow Nourish on LinkedIn 3️⃣ And completely separately, if you need/ want to give 15 minutes of your help on anything, sign up for a 15 Minute Help Initiative :) https://lnkd.in/gMsdtXNE
We had so much being part of a "surprise sampling" this weekend at FitFest 2024 after Arianna Beetz, PhD, NASM CNC led a seminar on her research about you can harness your past experiences of overcoming adversity to make you stronger in your daily life. At Nourish, we believe its not just about nourishing your body via what you eat (although that is SUPER important) but also via what you think. A holistic approach to wellbeing is KEY. ___________ Remember, if you have not done so already: 1️⃣ Sign up for our waitlist (we'll plant a tree in your honor) 🌲 : https://lnkd.in/eNXfThNk 2️⃣ Follow Nourish on LinkedIn 3️⃣ And completely separately, if you need/ want to give 15 minutes of your help on anything, sign up for a 15 Minute Help Initiative :) https://lnkd.in/gMsdtXNE

T&Ts | Selecting the Perfect Venue: Strategic Goals of the Event: The first step is to clearly define the event's strategic objectives. What is the purpose of the event? What are the key messages or outcomes we want to achieve? The venue should support and enhance these goals. For instance, if it's a product launch, the venue should be chosen to provide the best platform for showcasing the product effectively. #EventProTips, #EventProductionHacks, #EventPlanning101, #EventManagementTips, #EventSuccessSecrets, #EventPlannerWisdom, #EventExecutionTips, #EventStrategy, #EventPerfection, #EventExpertAdvice
