New Open Vocabulary YOLO-World model has been released🚀!! 💯 YOLO-World is a zero-shot object detector that can be used for various situations and different features along images. 🔥 It is very fast in compare with other zero-shot detectors like GroundingDINO. 📖 Custom classes can be defined by the user and then exported. In this way the model will keep the selected classes for next time to predict. A good read on Sora if you haven’t already read the research article… “Our results suggest that scaling video generation models is a promising path towards building general purpose simulators of the physical world” Seems to me there are three game changing layers to Sora and models like it. 1. The obvious low cost, mass video production for all manner of use cases, disrupting everyone from Drone Operators to Dolly Grips 2. What this paper suggest… Physical World Simulations with accurate real world physics. Disrupting everything from game development to digital twins, contruction and architecture. 3. The real kicker… Humanoid (and other) robots that understand and reason about the physics of thier surroundings just by looking at it. The obvious world changing use case of course being a robot that can play Giant Jenga at a camp ground in windy conditions on uneven grass, with kids running around all over the place and with grown ups who may have had a few drinks already before 11am… one of the most challenging and injury prone activities of a kiwi summer holiday… https://lnkd.in/duRTepWv
