The creation of a digital engineering inventory has significant potential to help building managers improve energy and water efficiency and reduce costs, in a number of ways: A clear record of engineering assets making it easy to have equipment checked. A clear and accessible maintenance and activity calendar. Easier to identify components which are at the end of their useful life. If you employ external contractors to maintain plant and equipment in your building have you experienced any of the following: 1 Unexplained, excessive energy and water use in your building? 2 Lack of clarity in the operation of your BMS relating to energy usage? Did the contractor create a digital inventory when they started working for you? If not how can you be sure your maintenance contractor is performing and delivering an effective service? #energymanagement #waterefficiency #facilitiesmanagement
