Recently came across two law offices (including criminal law) with more than 70 percent women! What makes women great lawyers: 1. Sincerity 2. Dedication 3. Hard work In all the industries and professions I’ve come across, women thrive and flourish as lawyers. Our law school had more than 50 percent women. The representation of women in this profession is much higher. Here’s hoping this translates to more boardrooms as independent directors and to more decision making roles in companies as well, which need to take cues and include more women. #legalpractice #lawyersoflinkedin #lawyering Arthavat Law Offices

Empowering Legal Careers Through Strategic Placements | Founder of Onward Recruiting | Transforming the Legal Landscape One Opportunity at a Time
For the first time in history, women now represent the majority of associates in U.S. law firms. This historic achievement underscores the resilience and progress of women in the legal field. However, the journey doesn't end here. We continue to advocate for increased representation at all levels of the profession. Discover more about this milestone in our latest post. #WomenInLaw #DiversityInLaw #OnwardRecruiting
The latest NALP Report on Diversity in U.S. Law Firms reveals a significant milestone: women now constitute the majority of associates in U.S. law firms for the first time in history. This achievement, 153 years in the making, is a testament to the resilience and determination of women in the legal profession. While we celebrate this progress, we must also acknowledge the persistent underrepresentation of women and people of color at the partnership level. Women comprise just 27.76% of all partners, and partners of color account for only 12.01%. These disparities underscore the urgent need for continued efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable legal landscape. At Onward Recruiting, we are committed to being part of the solution. We actively partner with law firms that prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion, recognizing that diverse teams foster innovation, enhance decision-making, and drive superior results for clients. Join us in celebrating the achievements of women in law and recommitting to the work that lies ahead. Together, we can shape a future where every lawyer, regardless of gender or race, can reach their full potential and contribute to the success of our profession. Class Action and Complex Litigation * Catastrophic Injury Defense Litigation * Civil Rights Defense Litigation * President-Elect Arkansas Bar Association* Chair American Heart Association Central Arkansas
“Women, however, remain underrepresented among firm partners, despite a 1.1 percentage point increase in their numbers in 2023. They now make up 27.76% of all partners. The numbers are even lower for women equity partners in multitier firms, where only 23.7% of equity partners are women.” These numbers become significantly lower when you look specifically at female litigators—watch these numbers to see if the rise in ranks in associates levels will translate to rise in the levels of female partners in the top ranks of litigation.
