Posted by Noam Brown, OpenAI: "o1 thinks for seconds, but we aim for future versions to think for hours, days, even weeks. Inference costs will be higher, but what cost would you pay for a new cancer drug? For breakthrough batteries? For a proof of the Riemann Hypothesis? AI can be more than chatbots" We can adapt this and make it our core mission - a movement that promotes the use of AI to create a sustainable world, with high automation and rational use of resources and technology for the benefit of all humanity, with care for nature. To promote cities-as-systems, to bring to the forefront the areas we need for research and development, to say what it really matters and why, what it will lead to, including moving away from capitalism and the use of money. It's a simple and straightforward goal, and it's quite possible to raise the wave of a new movement that will get governments, companies and startups going in this direction, using the tool of general AI, creating separate programs and institutions in this direction.
