I have a director position posted for the department in my division responsible for designing and delivering cutting edge data products to ensure that the Texas Workforce Commission and its partners & stakeholders have the data they need to make informed and ultimately evidenced-based decisions. This is an opportunity to not only help people in Texas but to help people nationally (and even internationally) as much of what we do qualifies as best practices that we share with other states to help them use data to improve prosperity for employers, individuals, families, and communities. I posted this position once before but foolishly did so right before going on a jag of trips and events that prevented me from giving prompt attention to the applicants. Great job for a journalist seeking to tell stories about working-class people who "defy stereotypes about who they are" every single day. What George Goehl is doing at Addition, and has done throughout his career as an organizer extraordinaire, to broaden the bigger “We” is absolutely essential. His podcast series "To See Each Other" features incredible stories that prove over and over that we shouldn't presume, assume, and most importantly, give up on people. I wish more news orgs would take this lead to tell the more complex, and authentic, stories about working-class people.

...some home truths, very well communicated. Panel companies are in running battles to fend off this type of fraud. There are solutions in the use of more sophisticated screening and honesty detection protocols, carefully crafted topic knowledge quizzes for example, and better sample validation process to begin with. But have to also accept that this will result in much lower incidents rates which will inevitably costs more to sample.
