C-Suite Strategic Business Partner | EOS Integrator | Chief of Staff | Operational Excellence | Project Manager | Air Traffic Controller | Member of Chief of Staff Network | Angel Investor
Fellow Chiefs of Staff! I am thrilled to say that I will be participating in the #ChiefofStaffConnect in NYC on Oct 17 & 18, hosted by Chief of Staff Network. I hope to see you there. There are still some tickets available... Full #COSC2024 details: https://lnkd.in/ewPXPj3r We’re bringing together 120+ select senior chiefs of staff from across industries and geographies for two days full of discussion, problem-solving, and fun. With this year’s theme – “Company Blueprints & Chief of Staff Toolkits” – our aim is to give you actionable takeaways on strategy and tactics, not just rose-colored-glasses stories and impractical theories. This is not your cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all conference. You’ll choose which sessions are most valuable to you and most sessions will be highly interactive, with case studies, live problem-solving sessions, workshops, and discussions. You’ll leave Chief of Staff Connect armed with inspiration from the strategic sessions, actual playbooks from the tactical sessions, and a community of other senior Chiefs to continue the conversation long after the event is done. #OpentoWork #ChiefofStaff #Leadership #Strategy #Operations #BoardGovernance #DataAnalytics #GrowthMindset #CLevelSupport #StrategicLeadership #ProcessImprovement #OperationsExcellence #StakeholderEngagement #GlobalPerspective #Innovation #Generalist #SocialImpact #RemoteWork #HybridWork
We convinced our venue to let us add more tickets! https://lu.ma/am7i4wri We can't share exactly where it is unless you grab a ticket, but it's a gorgeous spot in Times Square for 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘧𝘶𝘭 conversation 😉

Whilst going through todays enquiries for bands and tributes, I noticed that the biggest reason that bookings don't happen, is usually the act has already been booked for the event date. Typically, by enquiring 6 months ahead of your event or more (12months preferably), you seriously increase your chance of getting the act you want for the date you wanted. By giving yourself short notice, you give everyone else more time to book the best entertainment before you. If you've been struggling with this yourself, please try it and record the results, trust me a couple of months extra in planning will make a HUGE difference to the results in your event planning.

Spooky season has arrived! 🎃🍂 Planning an October visit to The Gables? Here are a few tips. • Advanced tickets are REQUIRED. Due to the high volume of visitors, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Visit 7Gables.org/tickets to purchase. • Parking is extremely scarce and nearly impossible to find during October in Salem. Though The Gables has a parking lot, parking is not guaranteed and all cars must be removed 2 hours after your tour start time. PLEASE PLAN EXTRA TIME FOR TRAVEL. Advanced planning, early arrival in public lots, and using public transportation is highly recommended. If you are late for your tour, you will not be able to join your group. • Don't forget; The Gables has a full calendar this October! In addition to daily Mansion Tours, we have three unique theatrical performances running throughout the month, and one unforgettable Halloween party. Visit 7Gables.org/events to learn more. • For road closure updates and parking capacity information, visit www.parksalem.com • For general Salem information, download the My Salem MA and Destination Salem apps and turn on notifications. • For October event information, visit www.hauntedhappenings.org Read the October 2024 E-Views from The Gables for info on upcoming events and more! → https://bit.ly/4eLUr1T

London’s legendary no-trousers tube ride returns this weekend Show off your new Christmas present panties to tube passengers this Sunday, New Years’ resolution to be more body confident? New Years’ resolution to be more body confident? Well, the opportunity might strike sooner than you expected. Exhibitionists rejoice: the 11th Annual No Trousers Tube Ride is back this Sunday, January 7. Meeting in Newport Place (a large square in Chinatown) at 2:45pm, the group will then descend to the Underground and de-robe to their underpants at 3pm. Make sure to get this order of events right – it’ll be blustery out there this weekend. The pantless party will then simply ride around the tube for a bit, and – this is the key part – act like everything is totally normal. Organisers ask that participants’ sartorial choices for their underwear be kept as low-key as possible, in keeping with the idea that it will look like a mass of people have just forgotten to wear their trousers. Just remember to not go commando that day. The No Trousers Tube Ride began in 2009, inspired by the No Pants Subway Ride started in New York in 2002. After being forced to take a two year hiatus thanks to the pandemic, this year will be the Tube Ride’s second consecutive return. The free event is ‘just for the sake of fun’ according to organisers, and participants do so at their own risk (of chafing against the Victoria Line’s prickly seats, aside from anything else). The things that go on in London for the sake of fun and excitement for some people .. Would you do this if it was in your country 🤔?? This is available to people who live in London #Nopantsparty.. 🤣🤣🤣

Terrific night last night at Co-op Live with my lovely daughter and the still fabulous Take That. But this isn't about Take That... This is about how, after such a shaky start, beset with delays, operational disasters and a PR nightmare, Co-op Live absolutely delivered last night on the thing that matters most, the experience. From understanding the local area - the venue is signed from miles away, to direct those on foot, and counts you down to the venue. To their ways of working with TfGM (a significant logistical partner in running these events) - with free tram travel with every ticket to reduce traffic and pollution, special event timetables and loads of extra TfGM staff to get thousands of people moving in and out efficiently. (Manchester always excels at this). To the little touches. Seats with cup holders, for those inclined to have a glass of wine and wave their arms. Recyclable cups that you can hold between your knees that dont collapse! And rows and rows of ladies' loos! Hurrah! An app that is simply designed and directs you to your, brilliantly signed, entrance and seat. Most unusually these days, they are over staffed. Not understaffed. Helpful people, everywhere. Really visible in their bright Co-op colours, directing, advising, smiling! Doing the things the tech can't do, as opposed to the things the app can do brilliantly. What I experienced then was a great concert, in excellent company, that was hassle free and well managed. But what I'll remember is how the little moments of delight made me feel. It's easy to over estimate how much people care about a product or service. Customers expect them to work and be useful. What brands underestimate at their peril is how to make that journey delightful, - be that well thought out, small moments in the journey or strategic partnerships that really work. Concerts are great. But that concert was great, and effortless, fun and slick. I can't wait to go back. Which I'm doing next week actually....!
