Hey Friends! It's been so cool to see the response since initially opening the Footwear Intern! I've had a lot of cool conversations with people all over the globe and the consensus is, people are hungry for real experience and trying to find the best ways to get it! As always, my hope is that this can be a solution to someone that hasn't found the right opportunity yet! Here are some of the frequently asked questions I've had so far. Program Link: https://lnkd.in/gRnBGjGy FAQs How many hours a week for the interns? My best guess is at least 5 hours a week - but people will have the ability to work more if they choose. 5-10 hours seems reasonable depending on a lighter or heavier work load that week and how new the concepts are to the individual. (I say this with a caveat that I hate when an article tells you how long it should take to read... because I'm a slow reader and seeing that generally small number is always disheartening 😂 ). What time will the live meetings be held? Per the schedule, there will be new content/instruction released once a week. I originally stated that every other week will be a live session, which will hold true, but it won't be mandatory attendance. Every live session will be recorded and able to view on your own schedule. Times for live sessions will be determined after June 17th, when we see what availability looks like for each intern. (What's great about the Skool platform is the ability to chat individually and communicate as a group at anytime. So chains of communication will always be open). Do you need any specific software for the course? Illustrator - Illustrator will be key for the course and won't be provided, so you should get that to participate. I'll have a link in the course on where to go to download illustrator (it's usually a monthly fee, I believe around $20 USD). 3D evaluation will be incorporated in the 3rd month of the internship, but 3D knowledge or software isn't necessary. (If you want to use your 3D skills on a project though, it can totally be incorporated - let's chat through it!). Does registration close? The first day of the intern program will be June 17th - I'll close registration on June 15th, just to get things setup over the weekend in prep for Monday the 17th 👍 I've had multiple questions on topics that people might want to focus on in the internship. My general response is; we'll be following the exact process of footwear design for these companies and you'll learn and participate in everything it takes to go from initial brief to a first concept delivery to a factory. If you want to have an opportunity to dive deeper on a particular subject matter throughout the course [market research, color/material, sustainability, tech packs, 3D, etc.] - you can totally do so and I'll work with you to make it happen. I want to teach you exactly what you need to know and be as accommodating as possible to your interests/schedule as possible! Go team!
