At events, the smallest things can make the biggest impact. That’s what we kept coming back to while working on our new handout at Uscreen. As a team, we wanted it to feel intentional—where everything in it serves a purpose. 𝐼𝑡’𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑐𝑢𝑡𝑒. 𝐼𝑡’𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑠𝑒. When we started working on this handout, we wondered, how do we genuinely connect? Not pitch. Connect. As a team, we focused on a few core principles: ✔️ Don’t overdo it. People are busy, and you have a tiny window to earn their attention. ✔️ Keep it simple. Share something valuable without asking for too much. ✔️ Make it human. Content that feels like it was made for them, not just another piece of “stuff.” This came together through collaboration—asking the right questions, sharing ideas, and refining until it felt right: ✔️What do prospects and customers actually need? ✔️What works in a real conversation? ✔️What’s helpful, not just “nice to have”? The end result is intentionally small. Not trying to be loud—just trying to be useful. Because the goal isn’t to overwhelm people. It’s to give them something worth holding onto, 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑎 𝑚𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡. When you bring together the right minds, strip away the fluff, and focus on simplicity, you’re left with something that 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 works.

"We are here for the golfers, and without them, there is no golf club. That is our main driver for using feedback". - shares Anna Wickberg, Golf Club Manager at Idrefjällens Golfklubb. Effective teamwork and the use of feedback have greatly facilitated her role as a Golf Club Manager. 📊 Wickberg considers it crucial to provide data-driven arguments when suggesting potential improvements to the golf course and presenting these proposals to the Board or other club decision-makers. And the Players 1st Surveys offers exactly that: Clear, documented insights into what golfers enjoy and dislike. #sverige #customerexperiencemanagement #golfindustry #growthegame

I thought TGL was cool, but I don’t think it’s going to last unless they make some changes. Here’s some ideas . . . Current Format We got a blowout last night and the current format was not great in that scenario. Not sure “hey the match is over, but keep watching for playoff tiebreaker implications” was a great look for night one of a new league or will be a great look any night. There will be more blowouts, and the format needs to recognize that and still provide some juice until the end. Even with a close match, I don’t love the current format. Length I thought it moved really fast for a while and then started to drag a bit. Intermission was a bust and totally unnecessary. “Playing through” commercials have got to go (as does DJ Khaled). I think the broadcast window could be 90 minutes. Give me an intro, four quarters of non-stop action with commercials in between and a quick wrap-up interview with winners/losers. The technology and production were awesome. I thought they nailed that and it will still get better (hopefully more stats, better audio, announcers figuring out how to set things up and keep things moving). Shot clock Loved the shot clock. Heartbeat was a nice touch. But it just proved to me these guys can and should play even faster. Nobody got that close to a shot clock violation with 40 seconds to hit. We don’t want guys deciding to take MORE time just because they have it. Give me a shorter shot clock, more pressure, quicker strategizing and decision making, and a greater potential of violations or rushed shots. I think a 30 second shot clock would be better and totally do-able. Format Fixes The match needs to end when it’s over. Reducing from 15 to 12 holes would help with flow and keep matches a little tighter for longer and keep comeback hopes alive. I like the hammer (it could make some noise and smoke when used or something), but once a team is leading and has the current hammer, it pretty much takes it out of the game as a team protects their lead. Maybe add the option for the losing team to “Press” in the fourth quarter (doubling the points) and give the losing team the hammer to start the fourth quarter or let the losing team “steal” it if not used for 2 or 3 holes by the other team. Team uniforms I get the players have sponsor obligations, but not a single player even had their team logo . . . anywhere! I get they were wearing matching colors, but you want people to buy merch when the players don’t even wear the logo? Website and App No notes. Well done. Hole Design A solid start and some fun holes, but I think holes need to have way more risk/reward towards the end of the match to add some volatility and pressure. With simulator golf rapidly expanding, it would be cool to eventually be able to play TGL holes on regular sims and would build more excitement for the matches. This should probably have already been in place at launch in a perfect world and people should be playing TGL holes today.
Our first match is in the books! Swipe 👉 to check out highlights from The Bay Golf Club's victory over New York Golf Club.
