Meet the board Wednesday! Introducing our Community Engagement and Sponsorship, Co-Manager-Sharon Buchwald! 1) How/why did you get involved with getWitIT? Why- because I love surrounding myself with ambitious and intelligent people who use their creative and analytical minds to encourage and support each other. How- I saw a post on LinkedIn about getWITit- and I gotWITit by responding to their request for volunteers. I volunteered in 2022 and enjoyed the community and events so much I volunteered for more in 2023. 2) How long have you worked in technology and what area do you work in? I’ve worked in IT since 2012 as a project manager with a local marketing/print company and before I knew it- found myself recruiting others into the IT industry as an agency IT recruiter for local companies throughout the Cleveland area and now internationally. 3) What is your favorite thing about working in tech? Diversity of thought, personalities, and drive in a culture that values continuous learning and innovation. 4) What area of NE Ohio do you circulate in the most? Typically, the west-side, but love traveling and driving all around town. 5) What's something completely unexpected that no one would guess about you? A Workplace Initiative... Giving is an excellent enrichment of life; no matter how often we do it, we can always find new ways to give. It’s important to make giving an integral aspect of a business, to promote a culture of generosity. Giving is an outflow encouraging an outlook beyond focusing on receiving.
