Creating and nurturing a healthy team dynamic should be a top priority for leaders. Leading a team is a challenge. You have to provide support, confidentiality, and discipline, as well as friendship, and a nurturing environment. 🤯 You're metaphorically spinning a thousand plates at any time, and dropping any of those plates can cause a domino effect across your team. Feedback is a key "plate" that you must spin to ensure growth within your team, and mastering how to deliver this is key. But, how do you know when you're helping or potentially hurting your team? 🤷 What tips would you give to other leaders? #weareorbisgroup #feedback #leadership

Being a leader isn't just about good intentions, it's about understanding the impact of your actions. While toxic leaders are easy to spot, well-intentioned ones can unknowingly cause harm. As a manager, it's vital to be open to feedback and aware of how your behaviours affect your team. Sometimes the most helpful thing you can do is listen, learn, and adapt. #Leadership #Teamwork #Feedback

Leadership is about inspiring a team to achieve a common goal. This means having a clear vision and the flexibility to navigate the journey toward that goal. Micromanagers, on the other hand, can stifle progress by focusing too much on immediate tasks and losing sight of the bigger picture. Remember, great leaders inspire and empower their team to achieve success. #leadership #management #teamwork

The double edge sword of helping your team is that some members of your team are not always ready or confident in them selves to take the next step. Secondly, maybe that person is not meant for that job or that part of a project and that is ok!! First and foremost always communicate with your team to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. This will help guide your team to high performance by understanding the depth of your team. Remember your team is more than two dimensional, (more than just their title) they might have strengths you didn’t even know about which might make them a better fit in another part of the project! The marker of a great leader is their ability to work with what they have in the most efficient and beneficial way possible. Secondly great leaders know when to ask for help when their scope is no longer met. #leadership #highperformance #iopsych #performance #teammanagement #changeintelligence #emotionalintelligence

How do you judge how successful a leader is? Just look at their team. Great leaders have a common goal: foster effective teamwork. They know that the key to team cohesion and efficacy is through the process. The best teams have good leaders who ask themselves, "How does my team communicate? How do we handle mistakes? How do we handle disagreements?" #Leadership #Management #Teamwork #TeamBuilding

Are you a servant leader or a self-serving leader? Great leaders prioritize their team's growth. Providing regular feedback is key to helping team members improve. Many leaders struggle with this crucial aspect, including those at the C-Level. The core problem is that leaders prioritize their comfort over their team's development. With feedback, individuals are aware of areas needing improvement. As leaders, we must do things that are uncomfortable but vital for the team's growth. #darvinwidjaja #momentaindonesia #Leadership #Feedback #ServantLeadership

Is your team disconnected? When leaders tell me they’re struggling with their team, some clues that cohesion is lacking are: * Infighting * Misalignment * Segmentation where smaller groups of people lobby for different things * Drama * Drawn out discussions after meetings Cohesion issues lead to low morale, lack of engagement, and communication challenges. If these things sound familiar, the first thing you want to do is take a step back and reflect. Ask yourself: *What are the team’s strengths? *What ingredients are present when things go well? Ie: a clear goal or decision maker *Which of those ingredients can we reinforce going forward? Document your answers step by step. What you uncover will help clarify where you need to focus your energy to make your team stronger than ever. #leadership #teamwork #coaching

The biggest problem I’ve had with leaders I’ve worked under? Lack of feedback. It certainly wasn’t because I didn’t have things to improve upon - it was indifference to my improvement. Indifferent leaders aren’t good leaders. As a leader, the most valuable thing I can do for my team is help them get better. Sometimes those conversations are downright ugly. At minimum they can be uncomfortable. But how else would you expect your team to improve? Leadership is supposed to be harder, not easier. Lean in. #coaching #leadership #feedback #improvement #getbetter
