A place I am bullish on at the moment is India The talent density and ambition there is high Experienced this first hand when I was on the ground in Bangalore A primary part of my podcast is about uncovering the stories of Indian founders, and VC’s from the region Now after some validation of an idea from Andrew Rea’s post I want to shift my focus on the early employees at category defining companies from India and around the world And the CTO's, CFO's, etc of some of these companies- both current and former Companies like Mercury, Ramp, DoorDash, etc Going to properly begin the outreach process for this next week or so So my asks: 1. Who are some of the early employees at category defining companies that I should feature on BizPodRoohi? 2. Is there a list/newsletter that coves the early employees of companies like Ramp, DoorDash, etc?

She left an 8-figure salary to start India's first developer relations company. My friend Megha Arora's story is one of grit, growth and resilience. ____ In episode 3 of People of Linkedin, I spoke to Megha Arora - CEO of DevRelSquad which is India's first developer relations consulting company. Megha Arora's story is inspiring because she had to grow up with several personal tragedies in her life and still rose up beyond all that. What I took away from this chat: 1. Your college doesn't matter. 2. What matters is how much you are willing to learn. 3. Be humble no matter how much you grow. 4. Network as much as you can. 5. Never believe you can't do it. 6. Find the right life partner (a huge impact) Megha also has about 40k followers on Linkedin. She shared her tips on how she grew. It was a great conversation filled with tips for making it big in life and Linkedin. Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/g-_2uEwX Hope it helps you get inspired. #linkedin #inspiring #story

One Episode away from Season Finale of Salaried Talks 😅 The latest episode is around VC ecosystem in India and and who better than Pranav Pai to simplify it for masses. This conversation could have easily crossed 2hr mark but we managed to wrap it up in 75mins. Hoping that we shoot part 2 as well in future. "Having a retirement number in mind can give you lot more clarity and then you start seeing wealth with a different lens" these lines from Pranav Pai from 3one4 Capital stuck a chord with me. In the latest episode of Salaried Talks powered by apna we sat together and discussed his life, career journey and VC ecosystem in India in great detail. Pranav demystified the VC way of operating, why Indian startups still have a long way to go to become the next Infosys or TCS and also talked about his early days when he was growing up and how it shaped his thinking process. We delved into the crucial topic of 'How to tackle failures and why it is very tough for founders to meet expectations of everyone'. Pranav also shared about recent trends that he is seeing with second-time founders and the sectors that he is bullish on. A particularly inspiring moment was when Pranav said: If you become the best in your domain or skill, you can still achieve your FIRE number and if achieving FIRE is the sole aim then Startup might not be for you. Watch this episode, as it has nuggets of wisdom you would not get anywhere else. The full episode is out now on YouTube and Spotify. As a fresher, even I used to feel that my classmates had a better start in bigger companies... but it's truly the experience of working with start-ups that gave me confidence to crack companies like #Google and #Adobe later... But we all have our own choices... BTW, starting India's first deep tech podcast series... trying to improve the level of technical conversations we see around us... You all know where to find this..! Also, what do you think is better to work for? Start-up or tier-2 or directly a MAANG tag??? P.s.: Shot from first pod: in conversation with Vipul Gupta, a #Ycombinator startup founder and experienced with companies like #Apple and #Meta. #building_india_ki_biggest_open_dev_community

During my trip to India last week, people were asking me what still drives me today to keep innovating and building new things? I thought of all the stats and metrics in our case studies and what I should pull out but then I realised it was the stories that makes it worth it The first time, I felt excited was when I showed James Meredith (how are you man? Long time no see :) ) a demo of impress on Telegram over a beer and I saw his delight and excitement. He became our first paying customer with actual candidates coming, and his recruiter shortlisting candidates on our dashboard. But I guess the point I really knew we were on the right track came a few months into our first major client going live. We were in our regular check-in meeting where Sudhanshu Ahuja or Amrith D. would tell me about next dozen different changes requests we now needed to add to our roadmap. Instead he was all excited.. rather they (the client) were all excited about their ROI calculations! They told us candidates who used to take 7 days to complete an application were now taking 32 minutes and their recruiters were taking 8 instead of 40 minutes per candidate while they were hiring 1 in every 3 candidates instead of 1 in 7. Perhaps most excitingly, when we had a maintenance window, apparently the recruiters were mourning about their assistant being on MC... As we wait to roll out the demo of the next version of impress genie and other gen AI features at HR Tech festival in a few days, I can't wait to get it in the hands of users and create more stories! I was shocked to see Deepinder Goyal on the Kapil Sharma Show. Think about it—while startup founders usually attend business forums and LinkedIn talks, Deepinder chose India's most-watched comedy show. Before I share my 2 cents on why this was a genius move, I would like to appreciate this brilliant mass market play by Zomato’s team. Now let’s dive into why it's genius: 1. The show reaches 10M+ viewers per episode - mostly middle-class families who are Zomato's core target audience 2. Deepinder's casual, relatable avatar helps bridge the "startup founder vs common man" gap. 3. Perfect timing - right when zomato's focusing on expanding deeper into Tier 2-3 cities The best part? It didn't feel like a forced brand placement at all. Just organic conversations that showed his authentic side with Kapil's trademark humor. This reminds me of a business quote- Sometimes, the best way to connect with your audience is to step out of the business bubble. That’s it. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. And do Follow ME Priyanka Bhatt for more such content. #business #pr #branding
