As part of our Reset, Recharge, Renew initiative, we organised a canvas painting activity inviting our team to express their gratitude through art.
Team members painted what truly made them happy, which offered a refreshing break from the workday, allowing everyone to destress and reconnect.

Finding the perfect gift for family and friends can feel like a daunting task. We all want to give something unique, memorable, and meaningful—something that brings joy long after the wrapping paper is gone.
Enter the 3D quicksand painting: a masterpiece in motion.
Every time you rotate it, the sand flows, creating new, mesmerizing landscapes—no two designs are ever the same. This isn’t just art; it’s a blend of creativity, mindfulness, and wonder.

In the hustle and bustle of our professional lives, finding a moment of tranquility can be a challenge. For me, that moment comes through painting. 🌿
Every brushstroke allows me to step away from the pressures and deadlines, providing a serene escape into a world of colors and creativity. Whether it’s the smooth glide of the brush or the vivid hues coming to life on the canvas, painting offers a unique form of meditation. It’s a way to clear my mind, express my emotions, and find balance.
I've found that this creative outlet not only enhances my well-being but also fuels my professional productivity. By taking time to nurture my passion for painting, I return to my work with a refreshed perspective and renewed energy.
How do you find peace in your busy life? 🌟

Escaping the Job Cubicle Mentality: We talk about a big dream the person had about an invention they were working on. They then mention the movie 'Envy', which depicted the work world and the concept of envy very accurately, how this idea was discouraged . The presentation discusses the typical work routine of going to the same cubicle every day, and the promise of getting a nicer chair and desk if you stay for another two years. The main message is to encourage people to GO FOR THEIR DREAMS and not be limited by their current circumstances. #invention#envy#worklife#cubicle#paintingTonyflemingspeaks.com

Our workplace culture is like a piece of art, painting the way we work together - fridge or gallery worth. It's the behaviors, values, and attitudes that shape our organization, both in good times and bad.
Each of us brings a unique perspective, adding a stroke of color or texture to the canvas. While interpretations may vary, the underlying beauty and connection remain constant.
Just as a painting can be appreciated from different angles, our shared values and goals bind us together, creating a vibrant and inspiring environment.
Not sure what’s on your canvas? A culture audit may be in order. Let’s define who you are, then build a strategy on how to connect everyone to it. #callme#fineart#companyculture#workplace#diversity#unity
Do you sometimes find it hard to feel connected? Sketching something allows you space to really see what you're looking at. Looking deeply at elements of nature is an simple way to slow down and feel connected. It doesn't matter what your sketch looks like. It matters how you feel doing it.

🏋🏼♀️ Did you know that you can use the 5 basic moves of strength training to take better photos of your hospitality venue?
No, really!
🎯 If you start a resistance training programme you'll learn to do 5 essential exercises that will target every part of your body.
The moves are; Clean, Lift, Squat, Deadlift and Pull.
So here's how to use these same principles when it comes to capturing your buff spaces in all their glory.
1️⃣ CLEAN - Clean all surfaces. Obvious maybe but a quick wipe will not do. If you miss it then the camera will pick it up. Everything has to be sparkling.
2️⃣ LIFT - Lift the camera up to eye level, keeping it straight up and down. Can you see how there's too much ceiling? Without tilting, drop it down to between chest and waist height. That's the height you want for your images.
3️⃣ SQUAT - Squat down to see how the light is hitting objects from the camera's viewpoint and re-check those surfaces for marks and dust.
4️⃣ DEADLIFT - Move furniture. Sometimes what works for the room might not be suitable for an image. It's ok to rearrange items to make the composition better.
5️⃣ PULL - Pull up your old images and compare. Your new images should have nice straight vertical lines, a perfect balance between ceiling and floor, and an angle that tells the story.
Now your room photography is fit for purpose!

Do you ever come away from a site visit thinking “I wish I’d remembered to ask that?”
We have a very detailed checklist of questions to ask / things to look out for whenever we conduct a site visit.
It’s been curated from 30 years of doing them! And we are still learning so it’s continuously evolving. But it is very comprehensive and saves us a lot of time.
Of course, there is always the opportunity to follow up by phone or email if something comes to light after you’ve left. But some things can only be assessed when you are on site.
Three things we ALWAYS ensure are covered during our first site visit are:
👀 taking photos and videos … including photos from each corner of the room for maximum coverage, closeups of anything that might need special attention (fixing points, cable runs etc)
👀 taking measurements … including heights! How often are we sent floor plans which only have two dimensions rather than three?! Or, worse still, have no dimensions at all. Consider also any changes in height throughout the rooms, doorways and access (particularly if you have large items of equipment to deliver!)
👀 sketching … I’m no artist but sketches are so good for recording cable runs, power sockets, hanging points, fire exits etc etc. All of those things that may be useful to know once you’ve decided how you are going to dress the venue.
This is tip no. 12 of 30, which I’m sharing to celebrate our 30th year in business.
In the Venue Styling Academy we teach everything you need to know to start and grow a successful venue styling/event dressing business.
