Let the transformations begin! ✅ The Grade II* listed Birmingham Botanical Gardens will be undergoing its transformative changes after being approved for planning by Birmingham City Council last week. The project will provide a low-carbon, sympathetic reinterpretation of the existing gardens and structures through partial demolition, refurbishment, and reconfiguration, including the creation of a new external courtyard. We look forward to working with everyone involved in the project, promoting a more sustainable future! A Big Win for a Challenging Project – Securing Listed Building Consent at Locksbrook Cemetery Lodge We’re delighted to share that we successfully designed and secured planning and listed building consent yesterday for a loft conversion at Locksbrook Cemetery Lodge, a Grade II listed building in Bath. This was no ordinary project—working within such a sensitive heritage setting required a multidisciplinary approach. Through innovative engineering solutions, architectural history expertise, and clever design, we demonstrated that the proposal would have minimal impact on the building’s historic fabric while unlocking its potential. Accurate surveys were crucial in understanding the constraints and opportunities, allowing us to craft a sympathetic yet practical solution. The result? A carefully considered design that respects the heritage significance of the lodge while meeting modern needs. This achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration and creative problem-solving in heritage projects. A big win for a challenging site—on to the next! #HeritageArchitecture #ListedBuildingConsent #EngineeringSolutions #LoftConversion #PlanningSuccess

PRP are thrilled to announce that Brook Avenue has received planning approval. The project, which is located a short walk from Wembley Park tube station, has been designed by PRP's architecture and landscape teams for clients J Group and VFUND. The project will deliver co-living studios, a range of amenities and affordable homes. The site benefits from many existing natural assets, and with landscape and sustainability at the heart of the design it celebrates the existing resources and helps to increase biodiversity. Robert High, Director at PRP, said: “Our architecture and landscape teams are delighted to have worked with J Group, VFUND and MJP Planning to secure resolution to grant for this transformational project. The building form and landscape have been crafted to maximise greening, biodiversity and light penetration and will deliver 100 on-site affordable homes and 517 co-living studios, creating a mixed and balanced community.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gMkTpU6K Whitby Wood | Brent Council | Angeli Ganoo-Fletcher #MemberMonday
