Blurry product images can turn customers away before they even get a chance to click on your product. This was the exact challenge we faced in one of our Shopify projects: Product card images appeared blurry, especially on high-resolution screens like retina displays. 📱💻 The result? A 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and diminished visual appeal, making high-quality products look unpolished. 💡 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺: The root cause was that the images were not being served in the right size and quality based on the device’s screen resolution. This led to: ❌ Blurred product images on high-resolution devices ❌ Reduced image clarity ❌ Inconsistent visuals across various screens We needed a way to deliver sharp, high-quality images while maintaining fast page load times. 🔧 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: To tackle this, we optimized the image delivery using the src and srcset attributes in the tag: 1️⃣ Specified multiple image sizes in srcset for different screen resolutions. 2️⃣ Adjusted the quality parameters to ensure that images remain crisp and clear. 3️⃣ Tested and fine-tuned image rendering to balance between image clarity and loading speed.
