This week, our #WedbushOrganizationofWomen and #YoungProfessionalsNetwork hosted a guided stretch and sound bath session. It was the perfect opportunity for colleagues to pause, reset, and rejuvenate amidst our busy schedules. Taking care of our well-being is just as important as the work we do. A big thank you to everyone who joined us in finding a moment of calm! ✨

Multi Award Winning Founder & CTO, Speak Out Revolution | Principal Asset Management Consultant | Board Member | Diversity & Inclusion Advocate | Keynote Speaker
“We all have the same 24 hours in a day!”… 🤦🏻♀️ Hmmm, no we do not 👇👇👇 Caring responsibilities, which studies show disproportionately impact women, redirect our focus and steal our time. I’m slowly getting back to work at Speak Out Revolution now I’m officially well and kicked off my return with a 30 minute meeting… In preparation, I spent: ⏱️ 30 minutes feeding the baby ⏱️ 10 minutes changing the baby ⏱️ 20 minutes getting the baby to sleep Just so I was able to participate… (And the baby woke up 10 minutes before 🤣) So… Should we just not employ people who can’t fully focus on the job? Absolutely NOT. Caring responsibilities can be considered “a beautiful constraint”. They force people to get very smart about working… It looks like: 👉 Savage prioritisation of tasks and activities 👉 Creative solutions to unforeseen, emergent issues 👉 A ‘get it done’ mindset So lets change the narrative. We don’t all have the same 24 hours in a day… BUT Sometimes that’s a good thing! What do you think? Tell me in the comments 👇👇👇 Image - Me and my colleague attending a work call. I hope they didn’t notice he dozed off 🤣 #WorkingMum #MaternityLeave #WorkLifeBalance

Everyone experiences loneliness from time to time. It’s normal and completely natural. But we don’t talk about it well. As a consequence, we don’t know how to respond to our own loneliness or when others around us experience loneliness. We wait until we know exactly how we can talk about it until we talk about it - especially in our workplaces. This feeds loneliness and compounds the issue. Your organization suffers because the humans within it suffer. The answer is in being courageous and talking openly about loneliness. It starts with empowering ourselves and each other to own it. It starts with understanding how it affects us. The answer is in engaging the Creating Connected Workplaces service. This service combines the powerful wisdom and insights of loneliness from Phil McAuliffe and the Humans: Connecting team with the world-leading data-driven approach led by Dr Hans Rocha IJzerman and the team at ABSL. We’re here to help you create a workplace that flourishes because the humans within it feel connected. When you check in on someone, sometimes it helps to check again When we ask someone how they are, they typically respond with “I’m fine, thank you,” or “I’m good, thanks.” If you ask again, you might get a different response on the second attempt because you are signaling that you are not asking out of politeness or as a conversation starter, you are asking because you care.🙂 Let’s make it a habit to connect with one another truly—check in, listen, and support those around us.✌ Help build a workplace where everyone feels supported. #WorldMentalHealthDay2024 #MentalHealthCare

Let’s Not Forget to Bring Humanity with Us to the Workplace Every Day. 💔 Every day, as we step into the workplace, we must remind ourselves that behind every email, meeting, and task is a person navigating unseen battles. Whether it’s the weight of global crises—wars, natural disasters—or deeply personal health struggles, these burdens may remain hidden but are no less significant. It costs nothing, yet means everything, to extend grace. Before we dive into our agendas or check off deliverables, let's pause. Take a moment to genuinely ask, "How are you?" and "How can I support you?" These simple questions have the power to transform a person's day. And if a colleague reaches out simply to share or talk, let’s honor that moment by offering a compassionate, listening ear. For anyone feeling the weight of the world on their shoulders, sitting in silence, unsure where to turn—know that you are not alone. My heart is with you, and so is my support. We are not just coworkers; we are a community. And together, we are stronger. Both humanity and high performance can coexist. In fact, when we prioritize care and connection, we create a space where individuals thrive—and when individuals thrive, teams excel. Let’s build workplaces where kindness and compassion fuel excellence. #WorkplaceHumanity #GraceInLeadership #SupportingEachOther #CompassionInAction #HighPerformanceWithHeart

Trailblazing Strategies for Leaders Ready to Drive Their Businesses Further, Faster by Taking Care of Their People
As employers, we must recognize that our team members are more than just their job titles. They bring their whole selves to work each day - their personal lives, experiences, and histories intertwined with their professional skills. By nurturing the whole person and acknowledging the intersection of personal and work life, we create a healthier, more empathetic workplace. This holistic approach leads to better decision-making that considers our team's full humanity. Remember: Your employees aren't just workers, they're people first. Embrace that, and watch your organization thrive. A health scare with my 7-year-old on Monday reminded me how crucial it is to work for a company that truly values its employees as whole people. When I needed to be fully present for my son, my workplace didn't just allow it - they encouraged it. My boss stepped up, our systems kept things running, and I felt zero guilt about putting family first. This isn't just good for employees - it builds loyalty, trust, and a more effective team. Grateful for a company that gets it: we're not just workers, we're humans with lives beyond the office. #WholePersonLeadership #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeWellbeing
