Starting this week, we’re launching our first 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗔𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 to raise awareness and drive support for our JustGiving initiative. Our goal? To empower 10,000 untapped talents from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds, giving them the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in the tech industry. What do you need? The Siyavela partners have been asking this questions of pioneers, visionaries and changemakers who are working to create a better world. Each of these individuals had unique roles and stories, but time and again the same themes came up. We need time, they said. Time to reflect. To restore. To simply be. We need resources, they said. For the past few months, TinkerHub has been engaged in a transformative discussion about reshaping our community. This journey had a huge shift when Abid Aboobaker encountered Jithin Thadani Nedumala from Make A Difference. This meeting marked a shift in perspective that we are excited to share with you. Do you WANT to be part of a better world? Imagine a world where everyone is well-fed, the air is clean, learning opportunities abound, and kindness is the norm. A world free from academic stress, social exclusion, career anxiety, fear and injustice. If such a vision is within our reach, why does it still seem so far away? Women are not asking for a different platform they are asking for a level playing field, and after that, they will win the battle by working hard”. Once people come together and say, we are agreeable to giving away our power for the larger purpose. That’s the only way the right collaboration starts. To build the ecosystem, you need to give up the ego system. Did you know in a session on Catalytic Funding Mekin Maheshwari Udhyam Learning Foundation founder said "social entrepreneurs should do their research, they should know more about the schemes compared to the donors, should delivery research, engagement as well as customer delight in a small scale and with very little money. If your 50 customers are super happy and there is no reason why that 50 cannot become 50,000. Funders will love to back you.
