Volunteer Apps for the People by the People Developing volunteer apps has been a transformative experience at Fireant. Two critical lessons we learnt were: 1. 🤝 New Tech Needs to be Community Driven: Created with input from the people who use them, ensuring they meet actual needs. 2. 💡 Success Requires High Engagement: Features designed for ease of use increase participation and impact. These apps not only serve practical purposes but also strengthen community bonds, therefore, getting them right is curtail. Save Your Best Friend has crossed 3 years of development. We managed to build a mobile app with the following: 1. Adding a Pet to your User profile 2. #Lost/Missing #Pet Reports 3. #Found Pet Reports 4. Real-time Chat between a Lost report & Found report Owner 5. User Registration as a Company (#AnimalShelter, #AnimalRescue) 6. Ability for a User to add their contact details & social media links. 7. Image Validation using #GoogleVisionAPI 8. Many more tiny features to improve UX.... And now, we are working on another big feature - #PetAdoption This will push us to another milestone where we will become the first All-in-one mobile app in the world that helps people find their best friends faster.
