Every end is a beginning in two ways. Endings are a reflection of a beginning in memory that is now present. It is the anchoring of our imagination in that which is now present. It is the present that bridges our memories and our imagination. A key attribute to our stewardship of our present is the skillset of framing it. How we frame our present makes all the difference. It is the understanding and prioritizing the road less traveled practically and specifically for the gift of who we are in the context of Truth. It is our ability to be a kingmaker for our minds. What is a kingmaker? It is the person, the ability to set the stage for the king to shine in their fullest form. It’s the fluency in understanding the “stage.” Though he was shrouded in brokenness and unhealthiness, the Colonel was an Olympian in king-making. He understood how to set the stage and give people what they truly wanted. He was the secret ingredient in the phenomenon we call Elvis. Our memories and our imagination set the stage for our present moment. How we steward them makes all the difference in what we call today.
