How Anger and Revenge Gave Birth to Ferrari And Lamborghini? Let's delve into the origin stories behind Top Sports Car Brands in the world. Italy is renowned as the primary manufacturer of sports cars, with 7 out of 8 supercar brands originating from this country. It all began in 1910 with the inception of Alfa Romeo, the first supercar company. In an era when cars were a luxury only the wealthy could afford, brands needed to prove their quality and comfort. To build trust, they participated in various races. Alfa Romeo launched their first car, the Torpedo, in the 1920s and won their first race with it. Interestingly, Enzo Ferrari was part of the Alfa Romeo racing team and won many races for them. However, in 1929, Enzo left Alfa Romeo to start his racing team. Without sufficient funds, he collaborated with George Remini, who eventually acquired 80% of Ferrari's shares. In 1939, Alfa Romeo dismissed Enzo Ferrari. Undeterred, Enzo launched his first car, the 125S, under Auto Avio Construzioni in 1947. Over the next two decades, Ferrari sold numerous cars, but their high prices meant they were owned only by millionaires and billionaires. One such owner was Ferruccio Lamborghini, who owned multiple Ferraris but had complaints about them. When he shared his feedback with Enzo Ferrari, Enzo famously retorted, "Go back to your tractors." Taking this personally, Lamborghini decided to start his own supercar company. In 1963, Lamborghini launched their first car, the 350 GTV. In 1971, they introduced the iconic Countach, led by Horacio Pagani. Due to disagreements, Pagani left Lamborghini and founded his own company. In 1992, he launched the Pagani Zonda under Pagani Automobiles. This car was so unique that it attracted investments from major brands, including Ferrari. Only 450 Pagani cars have been sold worldwide, with some models costing up to $18.6 million. This is how anger and revenge forged some of the world's finest supercar brands. If you found this story inspiring, share it with your connections. #automobiles #carzspa #carcare #cardetailing

Perfection Is a Maserati MC20 With the MC12's Livery https://lnkd.in/eEMbKC4u Exactly 20 years ago, Maserati went racing with the MC12. It marked the company's return to motorsports after nearly four decades, and now, the MC20 honors that occasion with two special edition models. Say hello to the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda. Each car wears a special exterior finish borrowed from two MC12s of yore. Of these, the MC20 Icona is likely the most recognizable with its two-tone white/blue paint. Specifically, the colors are Bianco Audace Matte with Blue Stradale down low, as seen on the MC12 Stradale. The MC20 Leggenda draws inspiration from the MC12 GT1 Vitaphone—predominantly black with teal across the top for a sharp contrast. Maserati calls these shades Nero Essenza and Digital Mint Matte. Both MC20s get black four-way monocoque racing seats inside. Leggenda seats have silver contrast stitching while the Icona uses blue. Under the skin, the mechanicals are standard-issue MC20. But that's not a bad thing. The Nettuno V-6 generates 621 horsepower, and with just 3,300 pounds to carry, it reaches 60 mph in a scant 2.9 seconds. This could be the only time you see these special-edition models. To honor the 20th anniversary of Maserati's return to racing, only 20 of each trim will be built.

🚩 Monster by Name In May 2015, at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este near Lake Como, the Mostro powered by Maserati was debuted. The Mostro was designed and built by the famous coachbuilder Zagato. This wonderful creation celebrated two momentous occasions. The first was the 100th anniversary of Maserati. The second commemorates the famous racing car, the Maserati 450 S Coupé Zagato Monster. The Maserati 450S was a classic sports and racing car driven by some greats, including Juan Miguel Fangio, Stirling Moss and Carroll Shelby. Zagato has a history with Maserati; it built the legendary 1957 Maserati 450S Coupé, which Stirling Moss commissioned and raced. The 450S was known as 'il Mostro' (the Monster) and thought to be the most powerful front-engined racing car in the world into the 1990s. Zagato only created nine; of these, only the Costin Zagato was turned into a road-going GT car. Regarding the 'new' Mostro, only five were built and fitted with a naturally aspirated Maserati 4.2 litre V8 engine producing an estimated 460bhp. The Mostro'sdoors opened upwards, unlike any other Maserati. The five Zagato-created Mostros were all offered to existing Zagato clients. Pricing has never been disclosed!

Ferrari S.p.A. (/fəˈrɑːri/, Italian: [ferˈraːri]) is an Italian luxury sports car manufacturer based in Maranello. Founded in 1939 by Enzo Ferrari (1898–1988), the company built its first car in 1940, adopted its current name in 1945, and began to produce its current line of road cars in 1947. Ferrari became a public company in 1960, and from 1963 to 2014 it was a subsidiary of Fiat S.p.A. It was spun off from Fiat's successor entity, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, in 2016. The company currently offers a large model range which includes several supercars, grand tourers, and one SUV. Many early Ferraris, dating to the 1950s and 1960s, count among the most expensive cars ever sold at auction. Throughout its history, the company has been noted for its continued participation in racing, especially in Formula One, where its team, Scuderia Ferrari, is the series' single oldest and most successful. Scuderia Ferrari has raced since 1929, first in Grand Prix events and later in Formula One, where it holds many records. Historically, Ferrari was also highly active in sports car racing, where its cars took many wins in races such as the Mille Miglia, Targa Florio and 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as several overall victories in the World Sportscar Championship. Scuderia Ferrari fans, commonly called tifosi, are known for their passion and loyalty to the team. Ferrari is one of the world's strongest brands, and it maintains a brand image built around racing heritage, luxury, and exclusivity. As of May 2023, Ferrari is also one of the largest car manufacturers by market capitalisation, with a value of approximately US$85.5 billion.[7] #snsinstitution #snsdesignthinking #snsdesignthinkers
