Remember this?
📊 Rose Marley, our CEO, took centre stage on Sky News' Ian King Live and talked about how worker co-operatives and employee-owned businesses are 8% more productive and how #coops employ 7 times more people, on average, compared to other businesses.
Co-operatives drive both productivity and economic security by focusing on the needs of members - who could be workers, customers and/or suppliers (or a combination) - rather than solely on profit. Why? Because those same members own AND control the business. It's the #CoopsWay.

Thought this worth sharing. During a recent client listening meeting we got on to the subject of pricing. This was a two-participant meeting with a client I had interviewed twice before.
Previously this client had thought that pricing across the piste had been ‘high’ and that pricing across a couple of the service lines had been particularly high.
This was a key client of a firm, spending a lot of money. During this year’s interview, however, the client thought the pricing was variously good, competitive, etc, and with no mention of specific service lines being particularly high.
So what had changed?
What had changed was that we altered comms to this and other clients in order to highlight value.
This included firm-wide added value, and also elements of value delivered by individual service lines and practice areas. Many of these had been - perhaps paradoxically - highlighted in the client listening process (including some with this same client).
I think a crucial message is not to assume that the recipients of value (a) realise what they are getting, and/or (b) associate it with pricing and rates.
So blow your own trumpet…
…talking of which - here are The Fratellis giving us Yes Sir, I Can Boogie.
Happy Friday

You probably don’t think of celebrity glitz and glamour when you think of auditors. ✨
Our role as official vote scrutineer for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has brought the two together. 🎬
It's all about supporting a voting process that's rigorous and fair. And it’s one of my favourite stories from the Audit & Assurance team in our 2024 Annual Review.

Worth Watching.
Managing Directors, CEO's and corporate boards need to work hard to create policies and procedures to create an equal balance of power between management, employees, contractors, suppliers and clients.
This also applies to government, politicians and institutions in regards to constitutes and representatives.
This helps avoid situations like what happened with Mr Bates and the post masters in the UK.
This show is a real eye opener and streams on channel 7.

Brilliant of someone of the industry to take the Bull by its horns. I have been mentioning and doing that of late, working on project fees versus the age old retainers which force an agency to kill their employees by "sharing" them conveniently. At Buzz, I am clear, we don't try and share unless the brand is comfortable with that and if so then should understand and operate in our HUNT framework. It's simple, if you have shared resources, plan your hunt. Someone from the tribe with the right skill will join and get the kill.
Having a rate card for ideation is the most absurd thing in advertising and boy will you see it in plenty in network agencies in the name of homogenisation and processes. :)
Kudos PG and Gautam for relaying this on a right forum.
