Last week, Elizabeth Relford, the Interim Director of Planning for Weld County, had the incredible opportunity to join other esteemed municipal leaders at the Colorado Municipal League Conference in Loveland. The conference was a platform for discussing the vital connection between land use and transportation, which are intertwined and must be considered together in the face of Weld County and the Northern Front Range's rapid growth. To ensure a prosperous future for our community, it is crucial that our planning efforts encompass not only the development of land and roads but also foster collaboration with neighboring counties and communities. The Colorado Municipal League, a nonprofit advocacy organization representing the interests of Colorado's cities and towns since 1923, hosted this inspiring event. It brought together over 1,000 officials from various municipalities, administrators, and key staff, all passionate about shaping a brighter future for Colorado.
