Welfare Footprint Project’s Post

The Welfare Footprint Project has contributed a chapter to the recently published book, "Cultivated Meat to Secure Our Future: Hope for Animals, Food Security, and the Environment." This book explores how cultivated meat can lessen our reliance on traditional animal farming, which often falls terribly short in ensuring animal welfare. Our chapter, titled "Cultivated Meat Safety - Can it Prevent Pandemics?", draws on the past experience of our directors Wladimir J. Alonso and Cynthia Schuck-Paim in the field of global health. It explores the significant potential of cultivated meat as a key non-pharmaceutical strategy to mitigate global health risks associated with modern animal agriculture.
