Urban mobility is a geometry problem. With limited urban street space, priorities should be tilted toward moving people instead of just cars, and in the process spurring urban redevelopment through creating safer, slower, walkable, and more attractive streets.

Feeling the need to share photos like this in light of Ontario's pending "Reducing Gridlock and Saving You Time Act". Creating more space for cars will only induce demand; to target gridlock, we need to be improving transportation options that take up less space - not limiting them.

I can't believe this still even needs to be discussed. Is it not obvious? • Safer cycling infrastructure means more people feel comfortable riding a bike • More people riding a bike means fewer cars on the road. • Fewer cars on the road means less traffic, less congestion, and better traffic flow. Study after study after study has shown that if you build safe cycling infrastructure, more people will cycle. Study after study after study has shown that more vehicle lanes induces more traffic. This "Reducing Gridlock and Saving You Time Act" isn't about saving you time. It's a direct attack on cycling infrastructure, the people who work to build it, and the people who use it. The Ontario government doesn't care about saving you time, they're pandering to a crowd that's dead set against change and hurting everyone in the process.

We take a look at options for 🔌 charging your electric car without off-street parking. It is certainly a bit more of a challenge 🤔 to charge your EV without having your own drive, but it is still possible to make it work. With more and more public charge points being installed all the time, it is getting even easier to charge your EV, however before you make the switch it is important to assess and plan how you will charge if you cannot charge at home. We take a look at some of your options in our help video 👇 https://loom.ly/KLR34-w #electricvehicle #ev #zeroemissionvehicle #batteryelectricvehicle #sustainibility #sustainabletransport #carsofthefuture #futureoftransport #DriveGreen #DriveGreenUk #Greenliving #sustainablelifestyle #zeroemissions #Electriccars #zapmap #onstreetcharging #gogreen #bethechange

This is good news for on-street charging. It is great to have the local council involved in a proper installation to prevent charging cable trip hazards on pavements. #electrification #evcharging #ev #electricmobility #onstreetcharging #electricvans #netzero #ukclimatetargets #climateaction

The European Transport & Environment (T&E) forecasts a complete transition to zero-emission city buses by 2027. In the UK, over half of new bus sales are zero-emission vehicles, showing the growing commitment to environmental responsibility and the effectiveness of electric buses. Companies like Houston's Coaches in Dumfries and Galloway, are at the forefront of this change, contributing to cleaner air and quieter streets, and setting an example for a sustainable future in Scotland and beyond. We're proud to have partnered with them to help install multiple EV charging stations - supporting reducing emissions and paving the way for a greener future in public transport. 📊📋 The FullyCharged.SHOW & Everything Electric has been crunching the numbers from its latest survey. ➡️ 99% of people would recommend a battery #electricvehicle if asked. ➡️ 93% would not switch back to internal combustion vehicles. These results, which echo similar surveys from organisations such as Zapmap, AutoTrader, Tusker, and EVA England, reinforce the need to bridge the divide between residents with driveways and those without access to off-street parking. Almost a quarter of UK households do not have a driveway or access to off-street parking. This means that the multiple benefits of driving an #EV are unobtainable for them - and this inequality must stop! ⚡🚗💨 Take a look at the survey results here: https://lnkd.in/ek2CybgP #urbaninfrastructure #greenfuture #sustainabletransport #homeEVcharging #EVinfrastructure | ODS

Glad to see #NYC get this federal grant to deploy more curbside #EVcharging. Hoping they are able to prioritize areas where these things will get use throughout the day since these will be level 2 chargers. I would think that level 1 would work fine for overnight applications. #electricvehicles #EV #EVs #EVSE #evcharginginfrastructure #transportation #electrification https://lnkd.in/eFsiDh5Y

Last month, as part of a $521 million federal grant for #EVcharging infrastructure across the country, The State of New York received $15 million to build 600 EV charging stations. A sure fire way to solving emissions issues in a densely populated city is by making EV charging more accessible and cost effective for all. New charging ports have the potential to offer drivers rates as low as $2.50/hr during the day and $1/hr overnight at curbside charging ports. Other major U.S. cities like San Francisco and Boston have plans to follow suit with similar curbside programs, another sign of momentum in the full transition to EVs. https://hubs.ly/Q02RsF1c0 #GridPower

Stockport is the UK's #EV Hotspot! ⚡ ⚡ ⚡ According to a recent report by One Home, #Stockport has the "highest number of registered pure electric cars in the UK" with 97,856. We're so proud to have been supporting our town to work towards net zero targets since 2017 with domestic and commercial #EV installations. However, the report also talks about "EV deserts" and it's clear there's a huge amount of work to be done across other areas in the UK to facilitate the uptake of #electricvehicles and provide infrastructure. We applaud and support One Home's calls for the Chancellor to scrap or delay measures which will only serve to make EV ownership unattainable for some and decrease EV sales. If you'd like to discuss an EV installation project for your home or business, do get in touch. We're a 🥇 Gold Approved Installer working solely with high quality UK products from Rolec. We can also provide information about the range of government grants currently available to support your project. If you're an installer looking to help your town work towards their #sustainabletravel goals and not sure where to start, just get in touch! We'd be delighted to chat all things EV! #sustainability #sustainabilitygoals #zeroemissionvehicles Matt Leech Daniel Ashworth Charlene Neill Rachael Bird
