5 people i’d love to see again - Person 1 In the past months i went to multiple networking startup events. The idea is to always meet people with like mindset from diverse sectors and learn from them. Met Tarun Joshi, founder, IGP Business - Corporate Gifting Solutions Many would be knowing Tarun as a person who changed the D2C gifting landscape of India and 107 more countries by hitting the right notes with IGP. Tarun is also an aeronautical engineer and worked with NASA in the past. Coming from a totally different education background, he is practically killing it in the gifting industry with more than 6 cr. unique user acquisition year on year. On the day we met, he was to receive the d2c gamechanger entrepreneur of the year award. To receive the award, he brought along one of IGP’s first warehouse store manager in gurgaon, who himself confirmed that this is the first time he is coming to a five star hotel, let alone to receive the award on behalf of his boss. And without a doubt, he had the biggest smile in the room. Chain Khuli ki Main khuli in real life? A while ago...I wanted to get a (gift) box to a close relative of mine who lives reasonably away from my house. Had this situation popped up 15 years ago, it would have been difficult. Fast forward to now, Ordered the gift from Blinkit Used Porter to send it(because blinkit isn't available in their area). My role? Make 2 phone calls and have the delivery partners coordinate with each other. This is what commerce has come to. Solving problems that we didn't even think were problems for us. Quick commerce has disrupted the idea of being called a "marketplace". I remember watching the movie chain kuli ki main kuli and counting to 10 with the protagonist Karan as he would wait for ice cream to show up at his doorstep. It's a reality now. Happy to share that I, along with my amazing teammates Apoorva Ankit and Abhishek Dwivedi, had the incredible opportunity to participate in the 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲(𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸) - 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻! 💡 The competition had multiple rounds: - A 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 to test our fundamentals - An intense 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, where we made it to the 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟯 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲🏆 - Finally, a 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, where we tackled real-world challenges related to optimizing delivery and logistics efficiency 📦🚚 Through this experience, we learned how small tweaks in logistics, like 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼-𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 ,𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 can make a massive impact on 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 and 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
