Three years ago, I started this consultancy with a simple belief: human-centric strategies drive the most meaningful growth. Today, I’m deeply grateful for the clients, collaborators, and mentors who’ve been part of this journey. While I celebrate this milestone, my thoughts are also with the many impacted by the devastating fires in LA. Milestones remind us of what matters most: the people we work with, the communities we belong to, and the moments that demand our action. If you’re in a position to help, consider donating to GoFundMe's Wildfire Relief Fund 2025 or sharing regional resources. Let’s lead with purpose and compassion—always.

Hurricane Helene has left a trail of devastation across the Southeast, and many are wondering how they can help. Here are some ways you can make a difference: Volunteer: If you're in the affected area, consider volunteering your time to help with cleanup and recovery efforts. Check with your state's Emergency Management Division for information on how to get involved. Check out some photos from GCG's recent trip to Western Carolina where we volunteered with Samaritans Purse! Donate: Several organizations are accepting financial donations to provide essential resources to those affected by the storm. Consider donating to the Florida Disaster Fund, the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, or the One SC Fund. Spread the word: Share information about how others can help on social media and with your networks. Even small actions can make a big difference in the lives of those who have lost so much. Let's come together to support the communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. #GCGWealthManagement #Finance #PersonalFinance #FinancialPlanner #FinancialAdvisory #Retirement #Invest #GastoniaNC #HurricaneHelene #HurricaneMilton #DisasterRelief #Volunteer #OperationAirDrop

🌟 Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and communities impacted by the devastating fires raging across Southern California. The recent Palisades/Los Angeles fires are a sobering reminder of how quickly catastrophe can strike—threatening lives, causing immense economic losses, and damaging critical infrastructure. To support those in urgent need, the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) has launched the IICF Wildfire Relief Fund: https://lnkd.in/gjuq3ts. Donations will directly benefit two local nonprofits providing vital aid to evacuees and first responders: 🔥 California Community Foundation: Wildfire Recovery Fund 🔥 California Fire Foundation: Wildfire & Disaster Relief Additionally, the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) has established the California Donations Portal (CADP): https://lnkd.in/gMBHwR3T. This portal, made possible by Assembly Bill 1568, offers businesses and nonprofits a streamlined way to donate services, goods, labor, and more to assist with disaster preparedness and response efforts. 💡 CADP provides three ways to contribute: Monetary Donations – via Philanthropy California: https://lnkd.in/gPyN_k_s Volunteering – learn more at California Volunteers: https://lnkd.in/g3QmnQU In-Kind Donations – Register (https://lnkd.in/gG-ikaTE) and make offers to support disaster survivors Now, more than ever, collaboration and generosity are essential. Together, we will rebuild and support those in need. 🙏 #DisasterRelief #WildfireSupport #CommunityResilience #IICF #CaliforniaDonationsPortal

More adverse reports about FEMA's performance, as seen in this video and all the related comments that are attached. Definitely worth reviewing to get a sense as to how the country views this entire situation.

TRUTH about the disaster in North Carolina! Straight from #lawenforcement - DO NOT Donate To FEMA For Hurricane Helene Victims!! Listen then REPOST this EVERYWHERE!! “Please do not donate to FEMA. They are hindering a lot of what people are trying to accomplish out in the western part of the state.” “By now, everyone's heard about what's going on in the western part of Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Florida, Georgia. Donate. Please donate what you can, try to find a nonprofit to donate to. Uh, church, local PD. A lot of those are taking donations, sheriff's departments. I know my department is running a bunch of stuff to the western part of the state to help donate, but please do not donate to FEMA. They are hindering a lot of what people are trying to accomplish out in the western part of the state.” “FEMA doesn't understand that these Appalachian people are built differently. I'm very familiar with them. They are not gonna stand by idly and have government officials tell them what to do. FEMA's playing a game of FAFO because free men don't ask for permission. Again, please donate and help these people out. They need us now more than ever.” #thinblueline #lawenforcement

Hurricane Beryl is the earliest ever Category 5 hurricane recorded in the Atlantic. Homes were shattered, communities levelled, and lives were tragically lost. Here’s how you can support: The Rév Foundation is raising monetary donations and in-kind supplies in collaboration with Deborah Cox to directly support those affected. 1. We’re raising in-kind donations of essential items to be shipped to our distribution collaborator Global Empowerment Mission and transported + distributed to affected communities across The Caribbean. In-kind donations can be purchased online through our registry of essential items at https://lnkd.in/eDvUQV7F. 2. We’re raising monetary donations to support logistics and on-the-ground efforts. Monetary donations can be made to The Rév Foundation, a sponsored program of the Social Impact Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization at https://lnkd.in/e2fjB6nh. 3.For brands who would like to get involved, please DM me for more information regarding in-kind sponsorship of this initiative. As the frequency of natural disasters like Hurricanes Helene and Milton continues to increase, philanthropic actors are rethinking how they engage over the long term to support community resilience, ecological health, and a justice-focused response. “The good news is that the charitable infrastructure of disaster philanthropy has grown more sophisticated in its response to the growing threat of natural disasters,” says Michael D. Layton. "The bad news is that funding for those efforts has remained stagnant.” According to the 2022 report from Candid and the Center for Disaster Philanthropy, resilience and preparedness funding accounts for just 2% of total grantmaking. UPDATE - from a Down Home organizer in Watauga & Ashe counties: "I can’t even explain to you the work that’s happening. This is once in a lifetime stuff. They are reaching people that firefighters, emergency services haven’t been able to reach, finding ways to areas that haven’t been reached by officials, literally mapping out the county and establishing supply distribution lines that no one has been to yet. I don’t know how we'll tell the story of this... Incredible work is happening here." Rural folks know how to take care of each other. We're meeting needs and saving lives. If you aren't there on the ground, one of the best things you can do is make sure they have the resources they need. When you use this link to support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts, funds are distributed to local, community based, grassroots organizations where they are needed most. Donate now at dhnc.info/HurricaneDonate or at the link in the bio.
