Japanese automakers such as Toyota are modern corporations, but the quality of the Japanese government, municipalities, and their people has not progressed in the past 70 years.
Japan is divided into a few industries that are competitive in the global marketplace and other industries, government, and academia that stopped developing 70 years ago.
Japan is said to be a vertical society. This is absolutely true, and the know-how of successful industries is not transferred to other industries.
It is strange, but there is no culture of yokoten.
Yokoten is common knowledge among Mikawa people, but Japanese people do not know about it.
This is mainly the fault of Japanese universities and government agencies, which have not progressed since the Meiji Era.
The result is a strange situation in which incompetent government agencies, whose time has come to a stop 70 years ago, are auditing "modern" global companies.
As a result, this is what happens.
