A majority of Americans stand with cannabis 🌿 The unprecedented level of public engagement surrounding the proposed cannabis rescheduling has sent a clear message about the importance of this issue in current American discourse. The sheer volume of comments received by the DEA far surpassed previous records, with over 42,000 responses submitted during the comment period – more than 90% of them coming in support for its rescheduling, if not completely legalizing it. This extraordinary level of civic engagement underscores the significance of cannabis policy reform in the U.S. Analysis of these comments reveals that a strong majority of individuals support the change in cannabis's current status under federal law. Moreover, the majority of commenters went beyond the proposed rescheduling to Schedule III, advocating for its complete removal from the controlled substances list.
