Accomplishment. I've just finished making this hat. It's a quite an easy knit in theory but I've been slightly off my game recently. I'm not one for leaving things unfinished though. Putting the best foot forward is tricky when wearing mismatched shoes. I know because I was gazing horrified into a suitcase. Pack in haste, repent at leisure... One left blue + one right black, same(ish) heels. Effect not helped by a tricolour dress. So I opened my speech with a joke about shoes. And thankfully the audience laughed and stayed engaged throughout. ➡ Research by Hewlett et al into the core elements of presence concluded that appearance accounts for a mere 5% of first impressions ➡ The rest is formed by how we demonstrate gravitas and how well we communicate.
