We’re pleased to share that we have made significant progress following last year’s Local Government Association Corporate Peer Challenge. A team of professionals from councils across the country visited in March 2024 to assess our performance, recognising our strong start since our launch in 2021 and identifying areas for improvement. Their recent return visit in November highlighted the tangible progress we’ve made and commended our renewed optimism and confidence. Key Achievements Noted in the Report: ⭐ Launched One West Northamptonshire vison, energising partners and communities ⭐The launch of a new, accessible website improving customer experience ⭐Improved customer support, with the creation of a single Revenues and Benefits Service ⭐National recognition through initiatives like the Female Founders Summit and Small Business Saturday We know there’s still work to do, and we remain committed to building on this momentum to create a thriving West Northamptonshire. Considering recent concerns that DEI “quiet quitting” may gain traction in Australia following trends in the U.S., it’s more important than ever to double down on strategies that demonstrate DEI's value to business resilience, innovation, and shareholder trust. Critically, 2 of 5 boards in USA don’t see DE&I as high priority Here are four critical strategies to keep DEI relevant and impactful at the board level, bridging the gap between DEI and core business priorities Australia can maintain momentum by framing DEI as a strategic imperative rather than a compliance measure. Let’s stay committed to driving meaningful, resilient DEI that elevates the entire business. How can your board make DEI a business priority? Let’s discuss! What do you say – Pollyanna Lenkic (She/Her) Nicole Elsley Roman Ružbacký, Koon, Executive Coach? 😎 #DEIMattersToBoards #DEIforShareholderValue #ElevateWithDEI #BoardLevelDEI #SustainableDEIImpact #DEILeadershipEdge #HookYourBoardOnDEI #FromDEItoROI #ESGandDEI #InvestInInclusion

A chance to get out of the office and revisit an old haunt! 🌟 Exciting Times Ahead! 🌟 It was inspiring to attend the North East Chamber of Commerce AGM and witness the positive energy and optimism for the upcoming year. With a new government in place, there’s a renewed focus on growth and innovation that promises exciting opportunities for businesses across our region. One of the standout themes of the AGM was the emphasis on diversity and inclusion. It’s clear that fostering a diverse workforce and inclusive business practices is not just a moral imperative but a strategic advantage. The discussions highlighted how diversity drives creativity, enhances problem-solving, and ultimately leads to better business outcomes. Looking ahead, I'm thrilled about the potential for growth and the role digital marketing can play in amplifying the voices of diverse communities and businesses. By leveraging digital platforms, we can create more inclusive marketing strategies that resonate with a wider audience and reflect the rich diversity of our region. Here's to a prosperous year ahead, filled with innovation, inclusivity, and growth!
