"If you put a hundred black ants and a hundred red ants in a jar, nothing will happen. But if you shake the jar hard the ants will start killing each other. The red ants will consider the black ants their enemies and the black ants will consider the red ants their enemies. The same thing happens in human society. So before we attack each other, we should think about who is shaking the jar." -Unknown Do I truly know the facts prior to making a statement of 'truth'. #wisdom #dailyponder #thoughtfulness #zen #serenity #serenitynow #mindfullness #leadershipfirstquotes #happy #smile #leadership #personalgrowth #wisdomquotes #livinghappy #ameaningfulife #management #buddha #spiritual #emotionalintelligence #buddhist #friendship #spirituality #quotes #dailyquotes #inspirationalquotes Source: The Daily Ponder https://lnkd.in/gv5e6Nm9

Happy to be in Nottingham with the statue of Robbin Hood. Let’s focus on our goals ! Robbin Hood was a mythical character from English folklore. He stole from oppressors who were the rich of the day and gave to the poor. While whether the ends justify the means is debatable( do share your views), let’s learn the quality of focus from Robin Hood in his mastery of the skill of archery. There is always something to learn! #focus #makehappinessgoviral #leadershipandhappiness #metamindalignment #metamind #masteryourmind #alignmentcoaching #alignmentalchemist #motivation #avinashananda #happinesscentricleadership

“Murder in the Cathedral” is a play by T.S. Eliot that depicts the assassination of Archbishop Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. The play unfolds in two parts: the Tempters’ speeches to Becket and the events leading up to his murder. The storyline revolves around the conflict between Becket and King Henry II of England over the rights and privileges of the Church. Becket, once a close friend and advisor to the king, becomes Archbishop of Canterbury and takes a stand against the king’s encroachments on ecclesiastical authority. This leads to tensions between the two men and ultimately culminates in Becket’s murder by four knights loyal to the king. T.S. Eliot's "Murder in the Cathedral" offers timeless insights into the power of moral courage and the triumph of conscience over worldly ambitions. Archbishop Thomas Becket's unwavering commitment to his principles, even in the face of death, serves as a compelling example of moral integrity. In today's world, where ethical dilemmas abound and the temptation to compromise one's values is ever-present, Becket's story resonates more than ever. It reminds us of the importance of standing firm in our beliefs, even when it's difficult or unpopular to do so. As we navigate our professional and personal lives, let us draw inspiration from Becket's courage and resilience. Let us strive to uphold our principles, even in the face of adversity, and to always act with integrity and moral clarity. DAY 259 (2024) - EVEN KINGS PROSTRATE By Pyamene Abraham By culture, people prostrate before Kings, because in every kingdom, there is meant to be one king. There come the saying, two Kings can't reign in one kingdom. Nevertheless, there came a time when a powerful king had to prostrate before a captive. Sounds like a taboo right. Yes, it happened between King Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel. A King only prostrate before a God or Deity, but Daniel was a man in whom the Spirit of God dwells and he understood mysteries and have solution to difficult problems. After he solved the King's problem, the king honoured him. Not about the king and Daniel, let's go to your business, workplace, workshop, office etc. There are those far ahead of you that don't have to take instructions from you based on rank, but if you are known to always give better solutions to difficult problems, your decisions will end up being the final in the midst of your seniors. Never clamour for the top if you have nothing to offer. Be a solution provider, not just anyhow, but be strategic about it and you will put your world on a standstill, irrespective of your tribe, colour, height, size or belief. Always let the king know you can do it, if you can and the king will prostrate before you, not necessarily physically but for sure he will. See you at the top.

QSOURCE Q2.5 ACCOUNTABILITY The HIM seeks Accountability because his life is not his own. No matter how dedicated or deliberate a HIM is in the building of his Guardrails, there will be some stretches of his road that he will not be able to shore up through his own Bricklaying. These are a man’s Blind Spots , the hard-wired gaps in his nature that he cannot protect without help. A Blind Spot is not a moral weakness that a man can work through in solitude to overcome. A moral weakness is an-Virtuous belief reinforced by a negative Habit, like bigotry manifested by the use of racial epithets. Unlike a Blind Spot, a moral weakness is subject to self-regulated change through determined application of the Get Right. Viewing a Blind Spot as a moral weakness dooms a man to defeat because he alone is powerless over it. He can never win without help.
