Five Very Basic Thoughts on Training - Real deterrence to our adversaries is about training.. - Retention and yes, Recruiting is about good training-Quality training attracts and retains Quality Soldiers.. - Being able to manage risk at lower echelons comes back to realistic training.. - Mission Command or “Auftragstaktik ” is a fantasy without significant multi-echelon training sets and reps.. - Education is formative, it circulates the doctrinal foundations and critical thinking necessary for good training.. “Un-resourced” training is nothing more than a wasteful idea. Don’t mortgage the future of the military or any high performing organization by minimizing the importance of thoroughly planned, resourced and well executed training.

“Train as you fight” Train as you fight encapsulates a fundamental principle in military training: preparing soldiers for the realities of combat. Here are my takeaways from the recent training that I’ve overseen: - Adaptability and Flexibility: Warfare is dynamic, requiring soldiers to adapt quickly to evolving circumstances. Training scenarios that incorporate unexpected variables and changing objectives teach troops to think on their feet and adjust their strategies as needed. - Cultural and Ethical Considerations: Training extends beyond technical skills to encompass cultural awareness, ethical decision-making, and adherence to LOAC. Soldiers must understand the broader context of their actions and the potential impact on civilians and international relations. - Realistic Preparation: Training environments must replicate the complexity and intensity of actual combat situations as closely as possible. Ultimately, "train as you fight" is more than a mantra; it's a commitment to readiness and excellence in the face of adversity. Had a wonderful 2 days of training with Dr Megan McEheran and Ryan Collier from BOS at the Palo Alto Fire Department. The training is an innovative approach in dealing with operational stress for first responders, law enforcement and military members. Attached is a picture of Megan and her excellent graphics of the brain and its response to external stressors. If you are considering a innovative approach to responder wellness, give BOS a call or IM me and I can you first hand review. JD

Today is the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Civil Works program! Our Civil Works program traces back to 1824, when legislation passed by Congress was signed into law by President James Monroe. The General Survey Act of 1824, authorized Army Engineers to chart transportation improvements vital to the Nation’s military security and commercial growth through the design of state and private roads, canals, and railroads. The Act, signed into law on April 30, 1824, enabled Army Engineers to significantly contribute to the Nation’s westward expansion and provided legislation enabling subsequent rivers and harbors acts to authorize funds for navigation improvements. The first Rivers and Harbors Act became law on May 24, 1824, and authorized improvements for navigation on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers, recognizing the vital importance of maintaining navigable waterways for commerce and transportation. Over the past 200 years, Congress and administrations have continued to pass laws broadening the USACE Civil Works’ missions and responsibilities, bringing us to where we are today. The Civil Works mission that we have been entrusted with, combined with our military missions and research and development, makes USACE a unique organization among the world’s military forces. Our ability to integrate these capabilities gives our great team the resources and expertise needed to tackle many of our Nation’s toughest challenges for the benefit of our citizens and communities, the economy and environment, and our Armed Forces both at home and abroad. https://lnkd.in/gq-AHMEG

Bringing Military Standards to Health & Safety Training in the Workplace. Delivered by Military Veterans
Anyone else had Fire Marshal training like this? There is actually some good points he makes when doing this drill Most people get up, walk in the direction of the main entrance or exit. In most cases there is a Fire Exit closer Elite Force Safety like to put a spanner in the works here. We put someone on the main stairs or at the main entrance and tell them its blocked. YOU SHOULD SEE THEIR FACES WHEN THEY HAVE TO GO BACK IN THE DIRECTION THEY CAME FROM😮 Then they ask each other "where is the nearest exit" Something they should automatically know Speak to us about #firemarshal training Elite Force Safety bringing Military standards to Health and Safety training in the workplace IAM Productions #healthandsafetytraining #firesafety #veterans #healthandsafety
