I'm excited to share that I've recently joined Global MedTeam as an advisor. The article cites eye-opening statistics, like over 75% of New York hospitals struggling to fill key positions, and the state having less than 40% of the primary care professionals needed. Allowing internationally trained physicians and nurses to practice could be a big part of the solution. Proposed legislation in the State Senate and Assembly aims to create pathways for those with medical credentials from abroad to obtain permits to practice in New York.
