We seem to have good news though. In 2024 Q2, ICT service exports have gone up more than any other year since 2021. Finland, don’t stop there. You'll never be as good in sales in foreign English 😄 Last week, Anthony Demidovich brought up a cool topic – my time at Rocketdata back in 2019. That was my first role in international sales. Here are 2 key moments about it: 1. When we were celebrating New Year 2019 with tut.by, I was chatting with Darya Danilava. I told her I wanted to switch to sales in English to make more money 💰 At that time, I spotted a job offer with a $5k/month salary, and it immediately caught my eye. I was making around $1.5k even when smashing my targets at 300%. My friends in software development were getting $2.5k+, so $5k/month was like a dream come true for me 🤩 Daria said something that made me take on the challenge: “Even if you learn English regularly, you’ll never be confident enough to sell with jokes and charisma. You won’t be yourself anymore.” 2. So, I started the journey. 4 days a week, 6 am sessions with a tutor, 4 days of homework, and 30 mins of learning every single day – books, vocabulary, whatever. During my runs, bike rides, in the gym, on the way to kindergarten – I was always learning English. Guess where I got hired in September 2019? Rocketdata 😁 Funny fact, I was desperate to get an English-speaking sales job and was ready to accept an offer for the CIS market. But when Daria and Natallia Drogolchuk asked me what I wanted, I said, “International sales.” Daria gave me a chance. No experience in lead gen, international sales, or anything, but knowing I’m a top sales performer who gets things done. And I did it: 3 international clients in 3 months, then landing our first big pharmacy client from the Baltics 💪 The twist is, I was really self-conscious about my English. I was ashamed of my pronunciation compared to pros like Victoria Lipskaya or Vlad Zaiko. But I kept learning every day, every spare minute. The lesson? 1️⃣ No one can tell you what you can’t do 2️⃣ It always takes effort to hit your goals 3️⃣ You’re never perfect, but you can always become a better version of yourself. 4️⃣ Don’t be afraid of your accent & mistakes, and don’t think native speakers will laugh at you 😅 5️⃣ Bonus from my friend Dzianis Maiski: When you think you’re not good, remember – you’re already good enough! You’ve landed a job, you’re getting results. Your job is not to be perfect but to keep doing what you do best and what you hired for.

We are seeking a rep for Western & Eastern Canada (as well as for the territories) ideally with some construction/architectural experience. If you’re an amazing sales rep, but do not have the construction/arch experience, we can train you in that area - insomuch as you need to be trained - so that you can manage client requests; when needed I can step in to assist with my 25+ years of construction experience. Western and Central Canada are already online and we are gaining momentum with our well-planned entry into the Canadian market (we are actually 2 months ahead of my initial plan!). We have a solid training program in place, plenty of professional marketing collateral, and have a small but awesome team at the moment that I am heading up as the VP of Operations for the Canadian market. The services we are offering are BIM & drafting services (CAD/Revit); if that piques your interest - great! If you don’t know what that means, do a little digging and see if you’re interested in a convo. The role is comission based, but you keep the clients you bring on for the life of your tenure, and are paid every time they use the services - not just the first time or the first few months. I don’t slash the comission rate, either. If anything it will grow as you grow the clients’ spend and improve margins. NO $ CAP.
