The Netherlands is the gateway to the EU market, a strategic location for the growing South American avocado production, led by Peru and Colombia, but also for the emerging African avocado industry, which today includes not only South Africa but also Kenya and Morocco, among others.

🍺 time for more beer/leadership musings: Sometimes it all comes together just right. After not having a (real) beer in Feb. I happened on new brewery near where I was visiting. They happened to have my fave: American Red. The right mix of malt structure + hoppy goodness. Oh yeah! As the band ‘Weddings, Parties, Anything’ says “Didn’t that beer taste nice!”. In leadership, every now and then it comes together. There’s a break from the struggle/effort/challenge and things just go well. Elsewhere I referred to John Kotter’s three key functions of articulating a compelling vision, aligning people around it, and motivating them to execute it. That might enable the conditions. Usually it’s the right people at the right time for the right job. As leader you get to participate and enjoy. Perhaps wonder why it doesn’t happen more often.
