Do you have fitness or business goals for 2024? Perhaps some new year’s resolutions which you may or may not stick to? And are you a podcast listener? At the weekend I listened to a brilliant podcast episode on The High Performance Podcast featuring Ben Bergeron. Whilst the focus was on fitness, you can absolutely apply the same ideas to the world of business. He talked about goals but actually how we should forget about our goal – and instead focus on the process of achieving the goal. He talked about hierarchy of mindset being a victim, pessimist, optimist, realist and warrior. What was most interesting for me, was his insight on the idea of our inner voice and how that takes on the role of critic or coach, and how we listen to the critic all too often.
