Executive Creative Director | Crafting Immersive Brand Journeys through Innovation, Storytelling, Design, and Phygital Experiences
When designing a #museum, it is crucial to prioritize environmental and social sustainability values, focusing on generating positive impacts for communities. This year, I had the privilege of designing the Discovery Museum, scheduled to open in October. It emphasizes the synergy between science and art, offering an interactive experience centered around contemporary scientific themes. The museum aims to showcase art and science as fundamental expressions of humanity while also contributing to China's stature as a leading scientific hub. In recent years, I've also designed two other notable museums in China: -Vacheron Constantin Maison 1755: This museum offers a comprehensive exploration of horology's timeless realm, particularly emphasizing engaging the new generation through collaborations with CAFA (Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing). -The Next Shanghai: An immersive museum featuring exhibitions crafted by young Chinese artists participating in the Art Creator Programme. All these endeavors, including the Discovery Museum, are united by a common goal: to create tangible value for communities, foster personal growth, and promote self-expression. This collective effort sets a forward-thinking trajectory, aligning closely with the aspirations of younger generations and their expectations from public organizations and brand missions. #StayTuned #museum #scienceandart #futuregrowth #scientifichub #immersiveexperience #interactiveexperience #sustainability #positiveimpact #future #China

For anyone considering a motion-based installation there is a VITAL lesson "hidden" in this video. The reason this #activation works so well has little to do with the actual programming. The secret is the circles on light on the floor telling people where to stand. As long as one person stands on each circle this activation will sing. The minute three or four people crowd around, or the two people wander from their circles it all starts to fall apart. So often, the success or failure of an interactive activation has less to do with the technology than the environment in which the it is activated. #experientialdesign #interactive
Artistic collective Universal Everything created the 'Symbiosis' exhibition, an interactive window into a microscopic world for the museum of screen culture ACMI in Melbourne 🇦🇺. 📍 Premiering now at the 'Beings' exhibition. I find this particular piece fascinating since the digital 'characters' really invite visitors to interact with each other. It's so important to design spaces where there is a collective sense and a shared journey, since a lot of us are quite isolated in our everyday lives. #ACMI #Melbourne #DigitalArt #InteractiveArt

Shanghai Industrial Museum, Shanghai, China, 2024 The space between the roof and the platform below is treated like a Chinese garden spread over the various platforms and walkways. This is where the museum items are exhibited. The roof is shaped like that of a temple. "For us, a museum is not a building shell in which various objects are explained or stored. For us, a museum is a Cloud of Knowledge."
