To celebrate #NationalRollerCoasterDay, let's talk about Six Flags press release on the 2025 and beyond coming attractions. https://lnkd.in/eDCvqAkn Yes, multiple record breaking coasters are cool, but the real meat of the announcement was a little detail at the end: "In addition to new rides and attractions, Six Flags will be upgrading and expanding its food and beverage facilities across the portfolio in 2025 highlighted by a wide variety of new signature menu and beverage items. Capital investments will be focused on improving the capabilities, technologies and efficiencies of the parks’ food preparation and delivery systems, while creating more comfortable and inviting locations where guests can dine." I have spent countless hours providing expert network advice around the merger, and this is exhibit A on what I think could be the biggest upside to the brand. Modernizing facilities to improve capacity, hiring executive chefs to focus on quality, and bringing in regional leaders to nail consistency will improve the largest In-Park Revenue generating department and help deliver the returns the firms promised. Just like this firm's investment into F&B, great stories are told through analytics. Leveraging insights from internal data and competitive benchmarks shape our Strategic Storytelling practice, and allows us to help clients create experiences that lift the Spirit. https://lnkd.in/ek37-DwN hello@storylandstudios.com

Explore the design philosophy behind Prairie Fire restaurant as the owner shares their insights into their partnership with Block 1: Design, the creative minds behind the restaurant's cohesive design. "Working with Block 1 was actually quite seamless in that iterative process. We had started with concepts, what we were trying to communicate (that would mostly be with Michael), and then we would move over into what do we need to do to make sure that it operates properly. How do we fit things in, how do we make sure that our servers and our customers can move around the space without it feeling too cramped... And we were able to have continuing communications and meetings with Block 1: Design where we were able to iron out all the difficulties in being able to achieve that." #interiordesign #restaurantdesign #bardesign #londoninteriordesign #ukinteriordesign #designwithpurpose #prairefirelondon

POV: You are reading my diary. Thu, May 16, I had dinner with an experienced client in F&B who recently worked with The Lab. We talked about F&B businesses & Networking, unrelatedly. Highlights: F&B ≤ Hospitality. It's the "people" business. Beyond good food and service, you need at least one staff member who truly "reads" customers—treating them how they want to be treated, cheering their successes, and being someone they can confide in. It's somehow the people sense I mentioned to my colleagues and always try to apply it in our client service, though I can't quite put a name to it yet. Networking is all about being present. Pre-party if possible, during-party is a must, after-party is excellent, and the next party is where people remember you. Networking isn't about immediate results—they may come in a month, a year, or never. The real fun is getting to know more friends. --- If you are interested in F&B design the way I am, put me on your cafe date schedule → duy@thelabsaigon.com. See you at the next post. #networking #Fnb #thelab #design #interior #diarypov

It's all about the detail! Great insight here from Chris White discussing the importance of detail and elevating customer experiences! #brandsolutions #custombuilt
I was really impressed at the subtle attention to detail during dinner whilst on an installation in Vienna recently. This was a standard restaurant, I was dining alone (yes, get your violins out) on a weekday evening, and every dish was presented like a Michelin starred venue. With such attention to detail in the presentation and the service from the staff made ‘just having dinner’ an elevated experience. Back on the show floor at EULAR the next day, I noticed the attention to detail our team was applying to the project, lining up the light fittings to create a perfect line for the eye. A small touch of perfectionism that if missed would offset the look of balance in the end result. This was the sixth outing for this stand within a few months but that did not mean slacking off on the finishing touches. Leaving the Vienna team, I went straight into the Warner Bros. installation at their Theobold’s Road, London building. This was a project that demanded a high level of creativity and detail, both in design and installation. Despite the fact that this was a very short exposure, the team dedicated themselves to it as if it were a permanent structure. Recreating details from the Superman history archive such as Clark Kent’s office in the Daily Planet and the Fortress of Solitude was brought to life with ceiling painting, prop sourcing and graphic design. No detail was omitted and the final result was well received. As we move into a less frenetic part of our working year, I love to see that the team remains focussed on high quality productions with the attention to detail that elevates any and all of our customer experiences. I know that next time I’m in Vienna, I’ll be seeking out that same restaurant thanks to the great experience I had. It reminded me why those small details are so important, and possibly why we work with so many of our customers again and again. #brandsolutions #custombuilt #retailinstallations #exhibitions #exhibitionsuppliers #exhibitionstandbuild #eventsprofsuk #exhibitionstanddesigners #exhibiting

Today was an exciting day in the Kincade household – we got new dining chairs! But it wasn’t the newness or design of the chairs that made the experience special. What stood out was how easy they were to assemble. Just four simple steps, and the chairs were ready to go. It was nearly impossible to go wrong. The sense of accomplishment after finishing the first chair was rewarding, and because the process was straightforward, I could repeat the same steps for the other three chairs without needing the instructions. It got me thinking—shouldn’t all our interactions with clients, patients, guests, and employees be like this? Simple, easy, and empowering. In life and in business, we often complicate things unnecessarily. We add steps, processes, and barriers that don’t always add value. It’s like looking at a loaf of store-bought bread with an endless list of ingredients you can’t pronounce. When all you really need are a few basic, natural ingredients to make something great. Imagine the impact we could make by simplifying life and business. Let’s cut out the unnecessary ingredients and focus on what truly matters—genuine, natural, and intentional interactions. By doing so, we create experiences that aren’t just easier, but also more meaningful and memorable for everyone involved. #Leadership #Simplicity #GuestExperience #Empowerment #ProcessImprovement

Philadelphia Chapter of ASHRAE Meeting Announcement! Design – Build and the Standard of Care Past Presidents' Night, Awards, and Presentation May 23, 2024 Xfinity Live! - 1100 Social Private Dining Space 6:30 - 8:30 PM **2-hr Open Bar Included / Parking Fees Extra** register - https://lnkd.in/eKtzbw_v As design-build achieves a broader footprint both geographically and by project type, not only are more projects going that way, but there are more ways for that way to go. In this mix is the shifting sands upon which the “custom and practice” of the industry is based – the Standard of Care. The profession, in fact all professions, that operate under a Standard of Care recognize that what was standard at one time can be archaic and outmoded in another. This program will look at one example of a project within the context of a changing standard and some of the issues that can create.

Design by committee never works. Too many chefs in the kitchen, with too many differing opinions, too many personal preferences , and too many personal goals. You need to have a clear, common goal that the committee can all commit to. Thats the only way to do it in my opinion. If you don’t take the time to articulate the goal, you’ll be playing a game of 5-way tug-of-war.

I walked into this cafe today, expecting just a cup of coffee, but I left with something much more - a reminder of the art of simplicity. Look at this scene. It's not just about making coffee. It's about: - Attention to detail - Everything, from the arrangement of cups to the careful brewing, is done with purpose. - Consistency in excellence - No rush, no shortcuts. The baristas are focused, ensuring every step of the process is done right. - Aesthetic matters - The layout, the lighting, the decor ... it’s a reminder that presentation matters as much as the final product. Too often in our professional lives, we complicate things. We chase after the next big thing, over-engineering solutions, overlooking that mastery often lies in doing the simple things incredibly well. Today’s takeaway: *Strip away the noise, and focus on getting the basics right.* Whether it's in your daily tasks, your team’s goals, or your long-term vision - simplicity and attention to detail can lead to greatness. Now, who's ready for a coffee break? ☕ #Simplicity #Craftsmanship #AttentionToDetail #BusinessTips
