If you're considering a good action for the day, consider donating to #1Dollar1World to raise money for the World Health Organization. The recent US withdrawal from the WHO has put the organization in a precarious position, impacting global health efforts. Losing the only body responsible for safeguarding global health, tracking infectious diseases worldwide, supplying crucial data for flu vaccinations, and advocating for global health should not be an option. Your support can make a real difference with just a few clicks. Follow the link below to show your support. #HealthForAll

Why are Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) more prevalent in some areas of the world? NTDs are often found in places where healthcare systems are weakened, making it difficult for people impacted by NTDs to get appropriate medical care. Weakened healthcare systems are usually found in places that are: ➡️ Rural or hard-to-reach ➡️ Affected by conflict ➡️ Impacted by poverty We believe that EVERYONE deserves access to medical help for NTDs like leprosy. That is why we are dedicated to working with our partners to help strengthen healthcare systems in areas like these. Join us by supporting this work at effecthope.org/donate #EffectHope #StrongHealthcareSystems #LeprosyCare #DonateWithImpact

Leprosy is a disease that can be easily treated with medication that is available at no cost to the patient through the World Health Organization and generous donors around the world. However, millions of people are still impacted by it. The most common reasons? Not knowing treatment exists or living in an area where treatment isn’t available. At Effect Hope, we want everyone to know that #leprosy can be easily treated. We also want to help people get that treatment as soon as possible. To do this, we work with partners to strengthen healthcare systems in hard-to-reach areas so everyone can access treatment for #NTDs like leprosy. To modernize public health data, policymakers, public health officials, health care providers, and health IT developers need a baseline understanding of how jurisdictions regulate and promote automated electronic reporting. The latest episode of @Mathematica’s "On the Evidence" digs into a recent @The Pew Charitable Trusts report and discusses why. https://lnkd.in/e27SZfvz

A couple of months into my Coeliac niche: here's what I've learned 🌱 I shared my decision to narrow my focus to Coeliac Disease support. The response was overwhelming. Your messages, comments, and stories confirmed what I suspected: We needed this community. Badly. The power of shared experience is a strong one. When you hear "I get it" from someone who truly does, everything changes. Moving forward, into 2025 I'm expanding my support by: ✅ Volunteering with Coeliac UK to form a local meet up in the Bolton area (more info to follow on this) ✅ Continuing to work with Coeliacs and people on a GF diet in my 1:1 clinic ✅ Creating valuable resources to support you on your GF journey & with Coeliac ✅ Designing a new programme to guide you step-by-step through the Coeliac journey & going GF To my fellow Coeliacs: You're not alone. To those considering reaching out: I'm here & I’ve been through it all and more. I’ve got you. If there’s anything else you’d like to see on my page & in the services I offer, please reach out so I can include them. It’s about YOU and giving you what you need to succeed. I would like to build a community that helps us all navigate the GF world successfully & reclaim our health. Please share far and wide to all those that this may help! #CoeliacCommunity #GlutenFreeSupport #GFJourney #CoeliacAwareness #HealthAndWellness #NutritionEducation #CoeliacSupportNetwork #LivingWithCoeliacs #HealthyLifestyleChoices #EmpoweredEating

Help Us End the Year Strong: Public Health Can’t Wait Did you know that 80% of our health is determined by where we live, work, and play—things like access to clean air, safe housing, nutritious food, and healthcare? Each of these basic – indeed foundational – factors for good health are on the chopping block under the incoming federal Administration. We are facing attacks on #publichealth at every turn—from misinformation about vaccines and climate change to efforts to dismantle healthcare protections like the Affordable Care Act and limit #reproductivehealth options. These actions undermine progress on #racialjustice and #healthequity, disproportionately harming those most impacted by structural racism, xenophobia, and other forms of oppression. The stakes couldn’t be higher. This is where your support makes all the difference. Your donation helps MPHA advance policies that disrupt the status quo, protect public health, and ensure systems work for everyone. When you give today, you’re fueling a movement for a healthier, more just #MA. Every gift—big or small—supports this vital work to advance bold, structural change. We can’t do this without you. Please make a donation to MPHA today: bit.ly/MPHAEndofYearGiving
