👉 Running to death from exhaustion One of my customers is training to run 10 km. His strategy: he starts at full speed, with heart rate at its highest, and burns himself out. I suggest he slows down and stays in the heart rate zone where he's burning fat. That's how he goes the next time out. I asked him how his training went. He told me it was great and that he could have run like that long because he felt so good. I advise him to stick to this strategy, which will always be the most effective. He's still running at the top of his game in the next training session. I ask him what he doesn't understand, and he tells me that the best results come from trying to push your limits. No, neither science nor experience can convince people to eliminate their beliefs.
