Excited to share with you all today about something that I have been asked by many writers when they are at the very beginning of a book and they either have too many ideas or they're not sure of what to pick for an idea. And so I want to speak on that today for anybody that wants to choose something that they know that it's going to be good for, for a first book. So if this is you, then I want to share with you that. First of all, if you have too many ideas, if you if you're not sure where to start, a great thing that you can do is look at the ideas that you have and ask yourself which idea do you have the most inspiration, the most content, the most meat, that kind of what you have the most for? Because that is going to be the book that you're going to have the the easiest time getting all of or having enough content to put onto the page and feel like you have a whole book. Another great question to ask. Yourself is which one that you feel like you could accomplish the fastest. The one that is going to give you the path of least resistance. Because also same thing. It's going to be the book that you feel like you can accomplish most readily. This is not going to be a book that is very close and near and dear to your heart and something that you. You know, want to make sure that it's perfect and all of that fun stuff. It's going to be something that you can just accomplish your first book and then be able to see that you could do it and move on from there. If you're on the opposite end of the spectrum and you are not sure where to start, you don't have any ideas, but you do want to write a book. You can also ask those same questions I just mentioned. Or another thing that you can do is you can do a little bit of brain dumping or brainstorming about areas in your life that you have expertise or that you'll have a lot of. Passion. Something that you know a lot about or that you love talking about, but these are all like the ones I just mentioned, are more for nonfiction side of it. Fiction's a little bit different when you're trying to think of an idea, but definitely if you want to write a book and you just want to knock out that first one and you're not sure of an idea, those are some great things that you can do to get some ideas flowing and to get a good starting point.
