Here's something I've been thinking a lot about lately: I believe there's a point after which 'more data' does not equal 'better decisions'. With the seemingly unlimited access to information through the internet (now multiplied through AI), you can usually find data points to fit whichever bias you are looking for. At a certain point, ACTION is the only thing needed to increase the quality of your decisions... because most feedback can only be found after action is taken. You'll learn 100x more by taking action than by waiting for all of the information -- information is unlimited, action is scarce.

Got a minute? Let’s talk about something spicy – your data and how it’s being used. So, LinkedIn’s got this new setting (yep, it’s on by default) that lets them use your personal data to train AI models. 🤖 Cool for them, but what about us? I’m all about AI when it does what it does best – like making sense of ginormous data pools or slicing those lengthy videos into bite-sized treats. 🍰 But, using my hard-crafted content to feed the AI beast without asking? Uh-uh, not cool. That’s why I hit the ‘off’ switch on that setting. You might want to check it out too! Here's a quick video below showing you how to do this.

AI is only as good as the data you feed it. Come hear Brent Snider share how Behaviorally is making AI work smarter, built on a proprietary database of over 50 years of consumer behavioral data.

Kudos to Intercom for their Off Script series. It’s thoughtful, grounded insight into how AI will transform much of society…without the hype and BS. If you haven’t seen it, go watch it. My key takeaways: 🔧 If you’re just bolting AI onto your existing product you’re not thinking about it right. You need to start again from the ground up to unleash its full potential 🎓 Pay attention to the things AI is learning/able to do (and how you might utilise that), rather than being fixated on how it is doing it 🍬 Beware the thin wrapper! Taking an off-the-shelf model and applying it to your use case might get you started, but it comes with trade off and will be easily superseded/displaced P.S. Eoghan McCabe, Des Traynor and Paul Adams might just be the coolest execs ever!

Everyone’s talking about AI, but are we skipping ahead to the final chapter without setting up the story properly? Before AI can truly deliver value at scale, organizations must first establish: Full data visibility: Do we have a complete, accurate view of all our data sources? Robust data lineage: Can we trace every data point throughout its lifecycle, ensuring trust and credibility? Strong governance: Are the right policies, compliance measures, and security controls in place? AI is the end goal for many enterprises, but the path to successful deployment is paved with data fundamentals. How prepared is your organization to build that solid foundation before leaping into advanced analytics and AI? Thought leadership and perspective from our co-Founder and CEO Prukalpa below in regards to this topic.
Excited to share my recent conversation with CNBC about the biggest hurdle in AI today: getting your data AI-ready. After speaking with 500+ data leaders over the years, the reality is stark: while everyone's racing to deploy AI, the real challenge isn't about algorithms or models. It's about having data that's truly ready for AI. Only 18% of companies have AI-ready data today. Building Atlan put me right in the middle of these conversations, and time and again, I've seen this reality firsthand. What data readiness challenges are you seeing? https://lnkd.in/gzJvheay

I ❤️ 1PD Ops Series: "Teach Google's AI on profit data, or a proxy value of that" When we first started showing marketers how to train Meta and Google’s AI models with first-party data, there weren’t many official guides out there. But last month, Google released a deep-dive doc that really stood out to me. One line especially caught my eye: "Teach Google’s AI on profit data, or a proxy value of that." If you’re curious about where the future is headed and want to check out this doc, just drop a “1PD Ops” in the comments. I’ll share it with you!
