Calling all business owners to take part in FSB's Small Business Index (SBI) - it's a short survey but it really does make a big difference in helping us to represent your concerns to government. Participate here: https://lnkd.in/eGJVk8Kq
Lobbying the Government to get support for small businesses (or sometimes just not harming them) is fundamental to what the FSB does. But we cannot do this without a bit of help from you. It is now six weeks after the Labour Government’s first budget in 14 years. We need to know how your business is doing and what challenges you face. An easy way to do this is take part in our Small Business Index (SBI). A short survey that really helps us represent you. Your responses will inform our campaigning in the New Year. I am particularly keen that business owners in the North have their voice heard. Here’s the link to take part https://lnkd.in/eGJVk8Kq Paula G. A new column is up! It leads with why we need to really unpack the prime minister's use of the word #turnaround - for Luxon, it's a lot more than a simple catchphrase; it seems to define his self-image. But the first thing he needs to improve is his own performance - Monday's postcab stand up was like a scene from The Thick of It or Utopia. People argue a lot about whether running a country is like running a company - well, one key difference is that the NZ state sector employs probably about 20-30 times the number of people a large corporate like Air New Zealand does, and provides a wider range of services than most global conglomerates. I also shine a light on a fascinating briefing about the first meeting the Beehive had with public service chief executives—guess which day from 1-100 of this government it took place on? (I should run a pool on this, 1st prize - a free OIA of the reader's choice?) And in case you've been asleep the past 24 hours, Dileepa Fonseka talks about the latest IT blunder to hit the public sector. Check it out and let me know your thoughts! #nzpol #government #publicsector https://lnkd.in/gctB45F3
