It was a pleasure meeting with Bronwyn Dunn from Comfort Quilts Against Cancer today! The organisation is made up of dedicated volunteers who create, sew, knit and crochet, run administration and fundraise for a cause. To receive such a gift it is a very powerful thing in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of the recipient. This year Australia will set an alarming record for the highest number of prostate cancers diagnosed in our nation’s history. More than 25,000 men will be diagnosed - at a rate of 70 men each day. We are the only national charity exclusively dedicated to funding life-changing research, awareness and support for men and their families impacted by the disease. Go Dry this July for PCFA so that all men and families have the support of PCFA. https://lnkd.in/g6bSKRVk Your donations are life-changing $25 gives a newly diagnosed man a tailored information pack to help explain the road ahead. $50 covers the cost of screening a newly diagnosed patient for depression and anxiety, ensuring he is referred for mental health support. $100 can cover the cost of follow-up care and support, so that men and families have consistent care throughout their treatment. $250 helps cover the cost of a community awareness presentation, so we can educate Australian men about genetic and family risks. $500 covers the costs of training a new nurse on the harsh side-effects of treatment, so we can help men through their toughest challenges. Today your donations will be matched $ for $ so a double whammy. We can do this to help all our Men ! 🙏🏻 https://lnkd.in/g6bSKRVk

Pinktober is not a month of celebration but a time to stand up for the cause, raise awareness about breast cancer, and offer physical, financial, and emotional support to those affected by the disease. I urge companies to avoid campaigns that might come across as insensitive, such as decorating buildings with balloons or other festive materials, cutting cakes. Instead, they can focus on initiatives that truly support recovery, such as offering discounts on medications and tests, organizing awareness campaigns, and providing caregivers with proper guidance on how to support patients effectively, donate hair for the wigs, provide mental health support etc. #pinktober #EarlyDetectionSavesLives, #PinkOut, #ThinkPink #youaretheheroineofyourlife

Founder & CEO - Reputation Energy Protection , Computer Software Innovator, Solution Provider - keeping good people safe from harm using my digital platform Reputation Guardian for both online & real world protection.
Psychological abuse is the hidden harm no one sees. Gas lighting false accusations. Rumours. And reputation crimes are the primary cause. Our present systems are “reactive” - ambulance 🚑 at the bottom of the cliff - 🧗♂️ that only benefit and protect those who profit 💰 from the harm and loss caused. We need “proactive” protection solutions that actually protect people before they self harm. 🕵️♂️⚖️🤖🙏🛡️ our systems today protect the psychological mind crime abusers. 😳 https://lnkd.in/gk29qgJ4

Day 91: Alström Angels – A Community Fighting for a Future with a Cure Today, I want to introduce you to an organization that is making a real difference: Alström Angels. They’re fighting for a future where children affected by Alström Syndrome—one of the rarest diseases in the world—have hope for a cure. What is Alström Syndrome? Alström Syndrome is a brutal genetic disorder that affects every organ in the body, often leading to blindness, heart disease, hearing loss, and diabetes. Only about 1,000 people in the world have ever been diagnosed with this condition. Most kids with Alström don’t live past their teens or early twenties because of these health complications, but Alström Angels is here to change that. How Can You Help? 1. Become a Guardian Angel: For just $25 a month, you can support groundbreaking research and provide hope to these families. Become A Guardian Angel: >> https://lnkd.in/giGzCZ5Q << 2. Spread Awareness: Most doctors haven’t even heard of this disease. Sharing Alström Angels' mission with your friends and family could save a child’s life! 3. Donate: Every dollar goes directly toward research and support for the families fighting Alström Syndrome. Make A Donation: >> https://lnkd.in/gY8A5wbB << Drop by drop, we’re building hope. Together, we can help these rare angels! Let’s Chat: Have you ever heard of Alström Syndrome before? What would you like to learn more about? Let’s start the conversation! Let’s make the next days of our journey count, filled with more stories, inspiration, and community impact! P.S. Want to get involved? If this resonates, repost, to share with others ♻️ and follow Javy Martinez for more in the future.

✨Hello it’s Meredith + Ashley with Dance2EndAlzHTX.✨ We witnessed our grandmother, Meme, succumb to Alzheimer’s in 2018. History repeated itself, with our mom, Jonette. In 2013 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2018. Our parents moved from Dallas to Houston in 2020, so we could help our dad care for her. Unexpectedly, our dad, Mike, passed away in May 2023. We believe the emotional and physical stress of being mom’s caregiver significantly contributed to our dad’s passing, as statistics show that 1 in 3 caregivers say their health has gotten worse due to their responsibilities and 25% have delayed taking care of their health. In September 2023, our mom passed away from Alzheimer’s. 💜 Anyone who has loved someone with Alzheimer’s knows that it’s a cruel thief robbing friends and family of their loved one with no cure. Knowing that our mom had the Alzheimer’s gene and that we have a chance of inheriting this horrible disease, we are channeling our energy to raise funds to help find a cure. www.dance2endalzhtx.com Phone: 713-582-4478 501c3 Non-Profit: 92-3786693 #DanceParty2EldAlzHTx #EndAlzheimers #AlzResearch #MemoryMatters #ForgetMeNot #FindACure #AlzheimersAwareness #ResearchForACure #RememberTogether #SupportAlzheimersResearch #NeverForget #HopeForACure #AlzheimersFundraiser #MemoryLossResearch #JoinTheFight #MindMatters #RememberingTheFuture #RaiseForResearch #TogetherAgainstAlzheimers #DonateToAlzheimersResearch #CureAlzheimersNow
